Repair and maintain tooling
Working on press tools from single blank tools to complex multi-stage progressions all to fine tolerances.
Support Setters
Managing the try-out process

Ideally Apprentice trained.
To have previous experience of presstools, such as single blank to progression tooling

Mechanical Design Engineer Candidate Requirements
Ideally, minimum of 5 years experience working in mechanical engineering.
3D design proficiency. Inventor would be ideal, but all 3D experience will be considered.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their requirements from a design perspective, along with knowledge of material and parts specifications and the ability to suitably select these for the design requirements.
Hands-on manufacturing / assembling experience would advantageous.
The following would be preferred but isn’t essential: experience of pneumatic circuit design and functionality, knowledge of machinery directive, LOLER and other legislative requirements, experience in special purpose machinery, assembly fixture and jig design.
