This is an opportunity for an experienced Automotive Electrician to join a growing organisation at an exciting period of expansion.
You will be installing electrical systems on heavy vehicles at this successful manufacturer based in Droitwich.
Duties of the Automotive Electrician:
- In the role of Automotive Electrician you will be responsible for the electrical fitting/testing/fault finding on new vehicles.
- You will also be fault finding on used vehicles and assist with hydraulics / pneumatic fitting.
- This is a DAYS based role working Monday to Friday with a lunch time finish on Friday. There is also regular overtime available.
Requirements of the Automotive Electrician:
- To be successful in this Auto Electrician position you will need to be time served and hold experience within automotive/ commercial vehicle electrics.

You will be working on a range of fabrications at this successful manufacturer based in Droitwich.
Duties of the Fabricator / Welder:
- As part of the Fabrications team, we have opportunities for MIG fabricators (medium, light and heavy), Sheet Metal Fabricators, and Aluminium Fabricators.
- This is a DAYS based role working Monday to Friday with a lunch time finish on Friday. There is also regular overtime available.
Requirements of The Fabricator / Welder:
- To be successful in this position you will need to be able to demonstrate experience of either MIG +/or TIG Fabrication with Aluminium, or heavy and medium grade steel, and/or sheet metal.
- You will ideally hold experience of plasma cutting, oxy acetylene cutting manual press break operation, hand tools (grinders and drills) and have a minimum of 2 years industry experience.
- You will also need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and be a good team player.

A long-established vehicle manufacturer with a proud history of building robust and bespoke products to a very high-quality standard for their customers, is currently seeking to strengthen their manufacturing team with a Final Assembly Manager.
The company are known for their ability to tailor and incorporate the specialist and specific needs of their customers by fitting new specialist equipment and structural and fabricated parts, components and materials to commercial vehicle chassis systems.
They can offer a range of services and hold an extensive selection of equipment which can be incorporated within short lead times.
The role requires a Manager to oversee the final build and assembly workshop. It will manage the final vehicle assembly covering a wide range of vehicles and specialist equipment.
The main duty will be to manage the vehicles final stages of the build from equipment that is mounted to commercial chassis, pre delivery inspections, H&S testing to IVA test approval. Auto electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems fittings.
A suitable candidate should have the following experience:
- At least 4 years’ experience of working in a vehicle or commercial vehicle assembly environment.
- Exposure of fitting equipment and fabrications to chassis systems
- Inspection of post fittings and assembly work
- A good knowledge of vehicle electric, harness and Hydraulic / Pneumatic systems fitting.
- Good Team Management skills
- Good understanding of manufacturing and product fitting procedures
- Good exposure to Final Assembly Test, Sign off and Safety requirements.
- Good Communication skills
This is great opportunity for an experienced Final Assembly Manager or someone who has worked in the Final Assembly of Commercial Vehicles with some responsibilities for approval and sign off, to join a stable and progression organisation with order books already full for most of 2021.

Role Overview
- Client is looking to recruit an experienced Piling Design Engineer, to work within their estimating team, who is looking to progress their career, working within a homeworking role. - The teams principal objective is to identify new business opportunities by preparing design solutions, estimates and tender proposals for the delivery of a variety of piling disciplines that meets the customer’s needs and in accordance with the Company’s Sales and Commercial Strategy.
- The role is design and estimating. You will need to be proficient in working with relevant design software and have an understanding of the estimating process. You will be expected to work from a bill of quantities or a set of drawings and any other form of enquiry documents a client will issue and provide piling designs and price estimates for everything from a one-off scheme to ongoing projects which will be completed over several months.
- You will be required to follow a project through with any design requirements as the project develops or progresses.
- You will be expected to have combined site experience with quantity surveying skills, commercial acumen and a mind capable of financial analysis.
- This is a customer focused role that requires you to have the ability to engage with clients to determine their needs and articulate those requirements in order to provide a solution-based proposal.
Design and Estimating Skills Required
- Interpret architectural engineering plans, blueprints and specification drawings to determine the scope of works
- Check the tender requirements against the Company’s governance procedure and accordance with the Company’s Sales and Commercial Strategy to determine the most appropriate engineering design solution for the installation of sheet steel, driven or bored piles, etc
- Prepare designs for fully embedded retaining walls, cantilever and propped solutions, bearing piles either bored driven or VCC using information supplied by the client or suitable generic engineering values for the soil strata present on site
- In conjunction with the Contracts Manager, conduct site inspections for tender understanding, analysis of conditions, assessment of risk and identification of activities that may or may not be shown in the tender documents
- Review contract conditions and incorporate the Company’s requirements within a written tender submission document
- Liaise with client on an ongoing basis to determine progress of tender
- Comply with stated Company policies and procedures relating to health and safety legislation
Essential Qualifications and Work Experience
- BA Engineering / Civil Engineering – or equivalent in relevant experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in heavy civil engineering
Working Hours
- Minimum 40 hrs per week as dictated to meet the needs of the business.
- The pressure and fixed nature of deadlines means some late nights may be needed. Overnight stays are rare, but you will need to travel to meet clients on site.
