We have a requirement for a Production Manager to direct the daily operations of the build and assembly of bespoke products against high volume orders, whilst overseeing a production facility consisting of 130+ personnel.
Based in the Southwest Birmingham area the company has a proud history of delivering quality products on time and to specification against short lead times.
- Salary - £55,000 - £60,000

Duties of the Production Manager
- Manage the day-to-day activities of multi-disciplined teams (Production, Procurement, Quality and Stock Control)
- Create and maintain strong planning and JIT (Just-In-Time) strategies, with a focus on delivery.
- Training and ensuring continuous improvements are carried out throughout the entire production facility.
- Maintain excellent communication streams and avenues between all relevant departments to ensure effective advanced planning can be achieved and put in place well before capacity levels are met.
- Delegate team leaders to ensure operational requirements are adhered to and maintained.
- Liaise and be part of the Senior Management Team and assist in taking the company forward in a positive direction.
Requirements for the Production Manager position
- A proven recent history of managing medium to large size production and manufacturing facilities.
- Good exposure of working within a fast paced and JIT environment.
- Excellent understanding of all the associated departments that allow a modern production facility to operate effectively (Procurement, Supply Chain, Stock Management, Quality and Planning)
- A formal qualification in Manufacturing or similar
- Excellent people management and communication skills
- Experience of the delivery of multiple bespoke products through Production or Manufacturing, strongly desired.
- Experience of producing products in either of the Aerospace, Automotive, Retail, Marine or Consumer Goods sectors would be preferred.

DUTIES OF THE QUALITY ENGINEER
- Monitor customer quality concerns
