A busy manufacturing organisation are now in the position to be able to hire a permanent Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor. You will be supporting the Occupational health, Safety and Environmental Specialist in improving health and safety standards.
This is a very friendly and close-knit facility, with the added benefit of being very busy and as the Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor, you will be joining a great team where the potential for further progression is huge.
DUTIES
- Follow up accident /near miss paperwork and input data and action plans
- Carry out EHS audits and inspections
- Produce and send EHS notices and signs
- Produce and distribute EHS alerts
- Update COSHH register
- Working closely with EHS teams to roll out wellness campaigns
- Support HR with admin relating to EHS projects
- Using SAP to raise purchase requests
- Issue PPE
- Participate in visitor and contactor inductions
REQUIREMENTS
- Basic understanding of environmental, health and safety within manufacturing
- Previous experience of producing presentations and written communications
- Ideally, you will have worked in a manufacturing environment
- Occupational Health and Safety qualification would be desirable
- SAP would be beneficial but not essential
- We can offer an IMMEDIATE START if needed

This opportunity is for a successful Construction Site Manager or Site Supervisor, who is looking to diversify in their career and take a new path within Quality, as a Quality Engineer.
This highly successful construction manufacturing company, who are one of the biggest volumetric suppliers within the UK are looking for a forward thinking, self-starter with eye for detail, to join the Quality team as an Engineer, reporting into the Senior Project Quality Manager.
This is an opportunity that can offer security and varied work, with 5-10 years’ worth of projects in place. Being one of the largest suppliers into Defence, Retail, Commercial and Education, every day is different, varied, and excited. To help ensure success the necessary training will be provided to ensure that the candidate becomes a proficient Quality Engineer and can work independently in this progressive role and oversee the Quality Inspectors.

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Site Manager for a construction Contractor
- Computer literate
- Ability to read Construction Drawings **ESSENTIAL**
- Experience working with sub-contractors and other trades people
- Self-sufficient, self-starter
- Willing to learn new skills
