Role Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer. Below is an overview of their ‘ideal’ candidate, but they are flexible and are open to considering candidates that do not necessarily have all the qualifications but have sufficient experience with a positive attitude and approach.
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum, dependant on experience
Hours: 38 per week, Monday to Thursday, 7:15 – 4pm, 12:15pm finish on Friday’s

Candidate Requirements
- The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be minimum HND Qualified with a desired 2+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.
- Strong knowledge and skills in the use of process development tools is preferred. Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence Tools/Lean Manufacturing and Methodologies.
- Good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills, with ability to make and implement decisions.
- Knowledge of CNC controlled equipment and machine code/programming whilst not essential would be an advantage along with strong equipment fault-finding, troubleshooting capability.
- Managing implementation of projects, technology transfer and manufacturing support systems. A hands-on approach is essential, with ownership of products and processes.
- Must be a team player with good communication skills, written and verbal. Self-motivated striving to find lean solutions to improvements and issues.
- Has experience of conduct validation and process transfers for equipment, from conception through to Implementation.
- Has developed and submitted justification for capital equipment projects, with a proven track-record of supporting other plant personnel in process improvement & project management.
Manufacturing Process Engineer Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- The Manufacturing Process Engineer develops, maintains, and ensures compliance with process control plans, quality assurance plans, and procedures.
- Assist in resolution of manufacturing issues and gives feedback for improvements in manufacturability. Plans and conducts activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and capability alternatives, and performing process characterization and optimization using problem-solving and decision-making tools.
- Facilitates technology transfer from process development to manufacturing processes for new product introductions, lead and coordinate all activities for modifications of existing processes, prepare process development protocols and coordinate all activities related to their execution, whilst practicing good project management & cost control.
- Facilitates communication and relevant training activities and act as liaison between colleagues and other leaders at the site, ensuring that the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Provide day to day Manufacturing Engineering support for the workshop, identifying and initiating process improvements in conjunction with the Production Management team.
- Work with production, to build and ensure product quality and process capability is delivered, with the ability to conduct operational (Time & Motion) studies to maximize workflow and spatial utilisation.
- Must be able to read/interpret and develop engineering drawings, develop guidelines and best practices and apply lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices to maximise efficiencies throughout the company.

SERVICE MANAGER
I have a huge opportunity for a Service Manager to join a global carbon company based near Tamworth. My clients are market leaders in plastic delivery / ancillary equipment.
As a Service Manger you will oversee the service engineering team as well as the day-today running of the technical department. This is a customer facing role so good communication skills are essential.
Service Manager Role Benefits:

Service Manager Duties:
- Conduct personnel reviews, personal development plans, and other reports on staff you are responsible for.
- Manage and support engineers job schedule efficiently. Including audits on documentation ensuring engineers are safe on the job, courtesy visits to site will also be required, allowing for better relations with customers and interaction with service engineers in person.
- Visit key customer sites to improve relations and give service advice.
- Direct and assist Service co-ordinator in providing service excellence to our customers.
- Organise equipment required for Service Engineers job role, conduct reviews of vehicle stocks.
- Manage change documentation and creating standard Risk Assessments, ensuring all certificates have been produced and provided to the customer and engineers as required for smooth operations.
- Provide and organise service training to engineers when required and serve as a mentor to the team.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses of team members and suitably make changes if required.
- Interview candidates with the Technical Manager and hire resources as required to benefit the service team, including Contractors.
- Carry out health and safety audits regularly on site (customer) of service engineers.
- Check Engineers Work Sheets and maintain records on Microsoft Dynamics NAV and CRM.
- Create manage and continually improve the breakdown call out working methods.
Service Manager Requirements include:
- Degree or equivalent in engineering.
- Previous managerial experience.
- Strong Electrically and Mechanically.
- Good communication skills.
- Be able to make decisions.
- Injection moulding experience would be advantageous.

CONTRACT MANAGER / PROJECT MANAGER - STEEL
A Contract / Project Manager with steel experience, is required to join a continually growing, reputable structural company. With an ability to see a project through from start to finish, the suitable candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of contracts for which they are responsible; negotiating subcontract orders, monitoring subcontracted work, as well as, start to finish project planning, costing and performing site visits and surveys.
Your place of work will be split between the head office client sites, along with regular client visits.

Key Responsibilities
- The Contract / Project Manager will also get involved in negotiating subcontract orders and monitoring subcontractors, planning critical dates, or organising labour.
- You will also be responsible for agreeing extra work to be done on a contract, helping to resolve any disputes that come up, and identifying areas for improvements in the contracting processes.
