DUTIES OF A LOGISTICS ANALYST:

• Material planning
• Utilising SAP based MRP for materials
• Audit of material receipt to SAP
• Ensure stock accuracy

REQUIREMENTS OF A LOGISTICS ANANLYST:

• Logistics and Inventory control experience
• Ideally, you will have gained your experience from within a manufacturing environment
• Good knowledge of SAP
• Previous experience of dealing with high demanding customers

We are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Planner to work alongside our Maintenance & Engineering Manager in supporting or extensive maintenance operation.  The role will initially be a three-month contract, with a view to permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Planner:

• Plan and co-ordinate all maintenance activities ensuring adequate resources are available
• Liaise with the Senior Maintenance Team Members for equipment availability
• Manage and update the CMMS system
• Ensure Risk Assessments/Method Statements are complete

The company offer a negotiable salary of £23,000 - £28,860 alongside an extensive benefits package for permanent employees.

We have a position for either a recently Graduated Electronics Engineer or Junior Electronics Designer with 1 – 2 years industry experience.

The position is based within a fast growing R&D Technical team that through its own internal innovation and design contributions have created a much larger market share for their parent company and growth in annual turnover from £6 Million to £25 Million.

The organisation is focused on advanced safety device design that are used in a myriad of industry sectors and combine Hardware & Software Electronics. The position will be based within the Electronic Hardware Design side of the team and will be directly involved in the NPD of Embedded and Actuation Controlled products.

Some experience of working with PIC’s, Embedded Electronics and Software is required as the role is not a pure Graduate Training Scheme and a successful candidate will become part of a live development team from day one. However, support and product training will be provided, along with the understanding that a successful new joiner may be limited in experience.

The organisation maintains a very fast paced environment with over 20,000 orders going to customers annually, so R&D and the Project Teams will often work on projects and programmes with very short lead times, with the average new product being released to outsource manufacture with 2 – 3 weeks from concept.

A large part of the role will be to design and build prototypes to be tested internally to ensure reliability and quality are achieved. This will include, testing to board level, PCB, PIC and Developing basic Safe C Code in liaison with the Software Engineers.

Education:

Job Purpose

• To coordinate the sites level 2 maintenance activities
• To develop self and the maintenance team to improve the site skill base and knowledge.

• Continually track expenditure to ensure understanding of costs and to challenge its need.  Look for alternative solutions to any expenditure item.
• Support installations of new equipment and support special projects to provide technical knowledge for continuous improvement.
• Develop a team of highly trained maintenance engineers to ensure an efficient maintenance service is delivered to the site. Have an individual development plan for each engineer and complete monthly formal performance reviews with team 1 to 1.
• Liaise with the Central Engineering Manager reviewing plant and equipment and make recommendations for improvements or spend.
• Maintain and develop a spare parts system.
• Delivery a daily shift handover to the maintenance team.
• Support PCS as required.
• Support CIL development.
• Develop knowledge on machines and systems.

• Keep workshop in a safe and organise manner following 5S principles

Qualifications

• Have a formal qualification in either mechanical or electrical engineering, in addition to an engineering degree or higher college near equivalent qualification.
• Experience within an industrialised manufacturing environment.
• Excellent with communications both verbally and written.
• Ability to effectively manage a technical team operating over shifts.
• Good knowledge of current legislation regarding machinery safety, facilities safety and laws pertaining to engineering, e.g. Loler, WAH, CE marking etc.
• Understanding of a WCM approach to engineering.
• Ability to influence others to enable them to understand the benefits of regular servicing, maintaining basic conditions and planned, preventative maintenance.
