Probe Technical are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Tool Room Engineer to join a busy fast paced manufacturing environment that supply to a range of industry sectors such as garden, home, catering, aerospace and automotive. You will be ensuring optimum performance and safe operation of all Mould tools to assist in the efficient running of the plant whilst maintaining good housekeeping.
The package details for the role of Tool Room Engineer include the below and further at interview:
Salary £35,000 rising to £38,000 after probation
Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm

You must hold a time served apprenticeship in toolmaking, machining or engineering. Knowledge of injection moulding process is beneficial and being able to read technical drawings.
Other key duties and experience for the Tool Room Engineer role involve:
Carries out breakdown maintenance on all mould tools, jigs, fixtures etc.
Carries out preventative maintenance on all mould tools, jigs, fixtures etc.
Carries out projects associated with tools, tooling and/or manufacturing equipment as requested by the Tool Room Manager.
Provides shift cover in the Tool Room when required.
Attends college/training courses where applicable.
Ensures conformance to the Company Quality System procedures as documented.

You will be part of a Maintenance team of 6 working a double day shift pattern of 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm. You must hold a minimum Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical and training in 17th / 18th Edition IEE wiring regulations, or equivalent. You must be a multi-skilled engineer with Electrical bias with either Injection Moulding, packaging, print, FMCG, plastics or food experience.
Other key duties and experience for the Maintenance Electrician role involve:
Previous experience with Hydraulic drawings and pneumatics
Diagnose hydraulic valve or cylinder issues
Electrical fault-finding experience
When reactive job is allocated ensure that the task is personally owned and followed through to completion or when shift handover required the maintenance supervisor is given all the correct information.
Personally own any planned preventative tasks issued and liaise with operations to ensure task is completed to a high standard, with minimal operational disruption.

Role Overview
Due to continued growth, the business is looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their established team on a full-time permanent basis. This is an important position within the R&D team, and you will be key in driving the development of new products from initial design, through to production and post-production maintenance.
Degree qualified in electronics or similar engineering subject.
5+ years’ commercial experience in electronic design, ideally within audio electronics.
The Electronics Engineer will ideally have audio experience working with ADC/DAC (Analogue/Digital Converters) and associated components, Op-amps etc.
High speed digital electronics experience, working with microcontrollers, DSPs etc.
PCB layout and design experience.
A guitar or bass player of any experience level is preferred but isn’t essential.
Electronics Engineer Key Responsibilities
Project lead and design of system architecture.
Responsible for all research and full development, through full life cycle, of assigned projects.
Contributing towards new innovative design ideas to drive the company technology forward.
Undertaking the building and testing of electronic prototypes.
Brainstorming new product ideas and technical requirements/ specifications.
Communicating with UK and overseas teams on project-specific topics.
Assisting other day-to day technical activities of the R&D department.
Possible, infrequent overseas travel as required – this is not essential, however can be an exciting opportunity for an engineer to broaden their knowledge and experience.
