Duties:

To complete designated tasks efficiently to the highest standard
Consider cost implications when carrying out designated tasks to minimise wasted time, materials and costs
Be observant always when in the plant and investigate any deficiencies observed or reported to you; raise work orders for those that cannot be auctioned immediately and feedback on those that can
Work safely both on your own and as part of a team, with regard for your duty of care to yourself and to others who may be affected by your work and always adhere to company policies and procedures
Work closely with the Maintenance Planner/Shift Engineering Manager to ensure the smooth execution of both day-to-day maintenance tasks and shutdown work
Ensure the upkeep and reliability of all plant and equipment in your designated area by feeding back requirements to the Planner/SEM
Requirements:
To be successful in your role you will ideally need experience in working within a Maintenance Department especially a food manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a time served apprenticeship, City & Guilds Part 3 or equivalent in relevant subject either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and Knowledge of Kaizen - Lean Manufacturing.

We are seeking to recruit a proven Maintenance Supervisor to join our plant Maintenance and Production team to support our operation within the Nottinghamshire region. We are a leading food company and have an excellent reputation for product quality and continuous improvement that will offer stability. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be required to undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks throughout our facility and improve and maintain plant reliability by leading this with a team of Engineers and Electricians. Salary is £40,000 with plenty of scope for overtime, standard holiday, a pension matched up to 12% with private health care and a continental shift pattern. We would also be keen to talk to Maintenance Team Leaders, or Maintenance Managers that would be looking for a less office-based role.
Requirements:
17th Edition is desirable
Apprentice trained
Either bias electrical or mechanical
Experience working with Microsoft
Previous experience within the food industry is desirable
Duties:
Respond to breakdowns in the factory
Issue permits to work
RAMs
Contractor Inductions
Carry out maintenance programmes.
Produce CMMS work requests and up-date as required.
Produce written reports, when requested.
Suggest improvements to work methods.
