- Carry out all required welding work, to the highest standard.
- Acquire the knowledge and qualifications for welding the complete size / range of instruments ensuring the necessary quality standards are achieved.
- Carry out basic assembly related work such as expanding, pressure testing, helium leakage testing as required.
- The Production TIG Welder will assist in other production related tasks, when required by the line team leader or Production Manager as appropriate within the line or wider production department.
- Work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures as set out by the company, especially regarding Manual handling and PPE.
- Support customer inspection activity.
- Maintain all welding equipment / hand tools in good working condition and keep the welding bays tidy / organised in line with company housekeeping standards.
- Assist in development of new production methods, to assist in improvements to the present product lines or development of new products.
- Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and fixtures as requested.
- Support continuous improvement activity and take an active role in the implementation of improvements.
