Probe Technical Recruitment is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a Precision Engineering company. This is a multi-skilled role that will include Maintenance on machinery and facilities both Electrical and Mechanical.
This is a day’s role with hours 10am-6.30pm with a package of:
- Salary £35,000 depending on experience.

Along with an NVQ Level 3/ ONC/ City & Guilds the ideal candidate/ Maintenance Engineer must have previous experience with Electrical equipment including PLC controls and CNC machinery is desirable.
The Maintenance Engineer role will include the following:
- Provide preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment to ensure effective running.
- Review TPM schedules to ensure operatives complete in a timely manner and inform Team Leaders of deficiencies
- Report back to the Maintenance Supervisor & Manager on concerns regarding the operational status of machinery
- Ensure, through regular checks; the power, lighting, LEV and water systems are maintained.

Candidate Requirements
- You will be an experienced and proven New Product Development Engineer.
- Experience with plastics, injection moulding is essential.
- Able to offer input on mould design and identifying improvement opportunities.
New Product Development Engineer Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- The New Product Development Engineer will ensure new concepts can be manufactured cost effectively with minimal lifetime cost through 3D designs / concepts / models, design presentations and Engineering drawings.
- Support the Sales and Commercial Team in technical discussions with customers.
- Prepare technical specifications for both Tool Design and Production.
- Ensure all critical performance characteristics have been identified and agreed with the customer prior to a project start up.
- Ensure the customer signs to confirm specification and part drawings before tooling is commissioned.
- Manage Toolmakers cost and timetable to within budget an on time.
- Carefully monitor and control external tool making costs, ensuring that mould designs meet client standard requirements and specification.
