A time served electrical engineer with experience within a maintenance background preferably working within hazardous environments.
Experienced in a continuous process type manufacturing environment i.e. chemicals, (packaging, food processing, insulation, print, textiles, paper)
Extensive knowledge of electrical fixed wire testing (17th Edition).
Knowledge and understanding of ATEX equipment and DSEAR regulations would be advantageous.
Experience of working with and fault diagnosis of various drives such as SSD Parker and Eurtotherm PLC’s.
Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance systems, condition monitoring, thermal imaging.
Use to dealing with contractors – permits to work/ risk assessments.
Proven continuous improvement experience.
A good understanding of SHE regulations and their practical implications.
Strongly committed to plant and operator safety.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing / six sigma methodologies would be beneficial.
Familiar with techniques such as TPM, PPM, 5S and Root Cause Analysis.
Positively contributing to the implementation and adherence to planned maintenance schedules.
Providing an appropriate response to reactive maintenance needs.
Contribute electrical knowledge / experience to Root Cause Analysis.
Implementing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) so as to ensure the site is running to full capacity and efficiency.
Actively participate in the implementation and encouragement of new ideas and processes to ensure continuous improvement throughout the site.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Implement and maintain PPM system encompassing all electrical equipment.
Fault finding PLCs and electrical equipment
Provide electrical maintenance support across all plant functions as and when necessary, through a ‘hands on’ approach to problem solving and equipment breakdowns.
Undertake electrical preventive maintenance and calibration routines to maximise plant reliability as well as providing electrical advice in troubleshooting and problem-solving situations.
Ensuring maximum availability of production equipment & machinery working towards achieving the following KPI’s:
Participate in risk analysis of electrical equipment.
Actively contribute to the development of the maintenance strategy to ensure optimised asset performance.
Partake in daily / weekly and monthly breakdown reviews so as to put in place corrective measures based upon the findings of data analysis.
Actively participate in the evolution / development of condition based maintenance, (operator maintenance), calibration and routine work activities.
