The business is an SME, world leading provider, with 150 employees and 60 years of manufacturing heritage. They have a global supply chain and export over 30% of their product to a world-wide network of customers. The operation consists of a fabrication facility, assembly area, large yard, logistics area and finished goods stores with the majority of product designed and manufactured by the company at their UK site.
Due to expansion, they are looking for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer. The engineering design department are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person, who is looking for a permanent role in a busy engineering design environment.
Full training and support will be provided in this role.
Junior Electrical Design Engineer Salary and Benefits
The Junior Electrical Design Engineer will prepare electrical specifications, materials lists, wiring diagrams and data sheets to the regulations and standards appropriate to the site conditions, location and equipment.
Provide technical assistance in the preparation of procedures, quotations, tenders and installation work involving electrical equipment.
Ensure drawings of electrical installations and equipment are prepared and updated as necessary to the appropriate standards.
Overseeing of projects through to commissioning – within budget and required timescales.
Liaise with customers, visit sites to discuss and agree specifications and performance requirements. Visits to site may entail fault diagnosis, recommending and implementing corrective measures.
Design electrical control panels and boards for production in house.

This is a superb opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join a medium size team. This is hands-on role, working both independently and within the site Maintenance Team. Work will involve overhead cranes, welding equipment, AC motors, including Variable speed drives - PLC controls, thermocouples, and process controllers.

Hours are Monday to Friday Mornings 6am to 1:30pm and Monday to Friday Afters 11:00 to 19:30 (Friday 10.00 to17.30).
Currently two weeks of mornings one week of afternoons. Flexibility is required on working hours to ensure the smooth running of the plant, including overtime and weekend work when required.
£25 per week on mornings, £50 per week on afternoons. Overtime rates are £20.20 during the week, £21.20 Saturdays, and £22.20 Sundays
Key Duties
As a Maintenance Electrician, your key responsibilities will include:
Respond immediately to breakdowns, carry out fault diagnosis and repairs in a safe and timely manner.
Complete a daily written report on work carried out, spares stock levels, PPMs etc.
Monitor spares, identify when stock levels are low.
Carry out preventive maintenance tasks and HSE checks
Requirements of a Maintenance Electrician
To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Demonstrate sound general knowledge of and comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and other legislation.
Have completed an Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship.
Qualified to NVQ level 3 in Electrical / Maintenance Engineering.
Have at least 3 years previous experience as a Maintenance technician within an industrial environment.
Be proficient in using their own initiative to identify electrical faults and carry out repairs on complex electrical systems.
Be proficient in reading electrical drawings and documents.
Be proficient in panel building and wiring including control circuits and motor starters.

Work closely with the Head of Business Development in building and executing a clearly defined route to market strategy and segment growth for the business, providing training and events as required
Lead by example to meet and exceed performance expectations and targets
Grow and develop assigned existing client relationships, taking ownership of account & quarterly review process with the Head of Business, developing and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets providing weekly/monthly sales performance reports, forecasts, and market insights
Market research, staying informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities
Provide as required the necessary support, guidance and direction to the Business Development Team
