Piling Design & Estimating Engineer Role Overview / Candidate Requirements
The Piling Design & Estimating Engineer will hold a relevant engineering degree and MSc or bias towards Geology/Geotechnics preferred.
This role is pivotal - it provides much diversity, providing support to the design & estimating elements of the piling, foundations and ground improvement techniques, ensuring compliance with the company management system and business strategy.
The successful candidate will have significant design experience and be competent designing bearing piles, tension piles laterally loaded piles and retaining walls. Design includes both tender and contract design and site redesign as required.
Having a degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or another relevant subject will be the minimum required, with an MSc and Chartered Engineer status being preferable.
The individual will assist in the management of incoming piling enquiries, including assessment of opportunities and allocation of tenders/designs and includes estimating, tendering and client interaction / negotiation to the point where orders are secured, and provide ongoing support throughout the life of a project if required.
The person in this role will also act as a mentor to the junior members of the team and help with their training and development. There will be some work providing support dealing with site issues as and when these arise. This includes contract redesigns, rectification of design issues and liaising with external approving authorities and Engineers if required.

The Manufacturing Engineer will define, develop & implement equipment, processes and standards of working for application within the production environment.
