Setting large Transfer and progression presses
Training and mentoring others
Safety checks on equipment
Quality checks
Driving SMED activity
Running / loading material and tools
Escalation of issues
Involvement in tooling trials
Completing complex tool changes
Deputising for Team Leader
REQUIREMENTS OF PRESS SETTER
It is essential that you have relevant Press Setting experience.

Duties of a Maintenance Technician:
As a Permanent Night Shift Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the ongoing operational efficiency and reliability of our facilities and equipment. This is a hands on position that requires a solid foundation in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues to determine appropriate solutions.
Collaborate with the night shift team to address urgent maintenance requirements and minimise downtime.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work done, parts used, and time spent.
Adhere to safety protocols and company standards at all times.
Requirements of a Maintenance Technician
Electrical and / or mechanical qualifications to City & Guilds or NVQ standard
Completion of a recognised apprenticeship programme.
Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Effective communication skills to report maintenance updates.

Requirements of a Maintenance Technician:
Proven experience in undertaking planned and reactive maintenance to plant and equipment within a manufacturing or production environment.
Hold a multi skilled ability with either an Electrical or Mechanical bias.
Have undertaken an Electrical or Mechanical Apprenticeship.
Be qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ 3 (or higher) in your chosen discipline.
