Duties of an Maintenance Electrician

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking both planned and reactive maintenance tasks to a wide range of plant and equipment. 
• Utilising your maintenance abilities to handle various technical challenges.
• Supporting a range of plant and equipment within our unique manufacturing environment.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, drives, motors, CNC & Plc controls.

Requirements of an Maintenance Electrician

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Hold formal Electrical qualifications to either a City & Guilds Level or NVQ standard.
• Ideally, be apprentice trained.
• Hold multi skilled abilities to tackle diverse maintenance tasks.
• Proven experience supporting plant and equipment in a manufacturing, process, or production environment.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our established maintenance team due to retirement. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, well run site with outstanding staff retention and no night shift working.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Engineer / Technician, you will:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of manufacturing equipment.
• Fault find and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, drives, conveyors, gearboxes, and packaging machinery
• Work on Plc controlled systems (basic understanding required)
• Ensure maximum equipment uptime in a fast paced production or process environment

Candidate Requirements:

• Ideally Apprentice Trained, but must hold a recognised Electrical or Mechanical qualification 
• Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Engineer
• Strong background in maintaining equipment in manufacturing, production or processing environments
• Basic understanding of PLC controls (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
• Capable of working independently and as part of a small team
