Probe Technical are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Site Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join a recognised world leader in their Manufacturing facility. We are looking for a dynamic person who has a good mechanical engineering background to work in a friendly environment as part of a small team, excellent working conditions and stable permanent employment.
Must be very flexible with regular overseas travel. Normally a week at a time, odd occasion up to 4 – 5 weeks at a time, but that is less frequent. You will predominantly be based at the facility near Fradley 70% of the time.
The package details for the role of Site Installation & Commissioning Engineer include:
Salary £40,000+ depending on experience and to be discussed at interview.
8 Hour days Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.

You must be Mechanically trained with a background in Fitting and Assembly. Some duties will involve:
Fitting, Assembly, and Testing on Shop Floor
Stripping down machinery ready for delivery
Site Installation of machinery attending overseas customers
Previous experience with both hydraulics and pneumatics.
The role of Site Installation & Commissioning is commutable from Lichfield, Tamworth, Burton on Trent and Cannock surrounding areas.

Senior Design Engineer Salary and Benefits
£40,000 - £45,000
39.5 Hours per week
8:45am – 5:00pm, 4pm finish on Friday’s, or you can work 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday

Any experience within heavy engineering, castings or similar would be a huge advantage.
Ideally qualified to HND or Degree level, but this isn’t essential.
You must have a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and product design processes.
Proven experience using both AutoCAD 2D and Inventor.
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
Mentoring and support of junior staff.
The right personality is key, you will be an excellent communicator and a good listener.
Able to travel overseas when needed – this won’t be too frequent.
Senior Design Engineer Key Responsibilities
The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for the management of design activities from concept through to production validation.
The robust design of products in accordance with the department procedures.
Investigating design factors such as function, materials, performance, interchangeability, cost, operational efficiency.
Preparation of Project Engineering data for new product assemblies and components, 3D / 2D Drawings, BOM's, Technical Specifications.
Customer technical liaison on new projects, ensuring that the designs meet the customer's requirements and often exceed their expectations and remain competitive to achieve sales growth and increase market share.

Your Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Technician, your core duties will include:
Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
Diagnosing and repairing faults on electrical and mechanical systems
Supporting production and process equipment across the plant
Minimising downtime and improving overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
What We're Looking For:
Electrically qualified (Apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent)
Multi skilled with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
Exposure to PLC fault finding and automation systems preferred
Previous experience in a manufacturing, processing, or production environment
