Experience The Maintenance Team leader Will Hold: 

  • Time Served with experience in a Manufacturing / FMCG Environment.
  • Holding a formal qualification in Mechanical or / and electrical engineering  
  • Previous experience within a team leader / Supervisor role 
  • Multi-skilled – holding Electrical and Mechanical Knowledge. 
  • Holding good Planning / Management / organisational skills. 
  • Driven Continuous improvement.
  • Experienced with Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrical Control systems. 
  • Knowledge of Cutting and Grinding

Duties:

  • Supervise and co-ordinate maintenance activities. 
  • Assist with installation of the new plant equipment. 
  • Carry out Factory inspections, Providing Support to the production operatives. 
  • Carry out all planned maintenance on site. 
  • Attend Management meetings and provided reports on daily activities. 
  • Support Current and new members of the team – Support the Training and Development

Role Overview

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Supplier Quality Engineer will design, develop, inspect and improve the quality standards of operational processes and manufacturing outputs.  

Supplier Quality Engineer Candidate Requirements

Please note that the experience mentioned below is an ‘ideal’, the right candidate would not need to have knowledge of everything.

  • Experience in a similar quality role within a manufacturing environment would be a significant advantage.
  • HNC/HND or Degree Qualified Mechanical Engineer would be advantageous.
  • Internal Auditor – ISO 9001:2015 minimum requirement.  Lead auditor would be an advantage.
  • Membership of Charted Quality Institute would be advantageous.
  • Any experience of either: Lean Six Sigma, 8D problem solving, Kaizen, 5-Why, Fishbone.
  • Experienced in using ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.  Salesforce experience would be advantageous.
  • Metrology, CMM, experience would be nice but is not essential.

Supplier Quality Engineer Key Responsibilities

The below will vary, as your training progresses. 

  • Assist the Quality Team in audit follow-up through to closure of any minor/major NCRs raise during the audit.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development, quality improvement, and cost savings projects.
  • Interact with other departments including suppliers and customers regarding quality matters.
  • Be a point of contact when Quality Assistance is required in dealing with manufacturing, supply chain and customer related issues.
  • Ensure that Root Cause Analysis is being carried out in a timely manner and to provide support to the rest of the team as required.

Key Responsibilities the Maintenance Engineer:   

  • To work as part of the Maintenance team as a mechanically focused technician with some multi-skilled experience. The position will be responsible for providing mechanical expertise, carrying out repairs on plant equipment in a timely and efficient manner and ensuring equipment is safe and fit for purpose. The position holder will be responsible for safety permits where required and to provide first line supervision for all contactor activity. 
  • To provide mechanical support to the maintenance department in order to carry out repairs on all plant equipment. 
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment on site is both mechanically and electrically safe. 
  • Carry out other support maintenance work when required. 
  • Carrying out repairs on the following Kit: Pumps / Conveyor systems / Gearboxes / Hydraulics & Pneumatics.
  • Ideally holding experience within Chemical or Heavy engineering. 
  • We are looking for an Apprentice trained Maintenance engineer. 
  • Holding a formal qualification in Mechanical engineering. 
  • Flexibility is key – a Motivated individual who is keen to take on over time.

The Maintenance engineer’s role is commutable from the following locations:  Harrogate, York, Middlesbrough, Ripon, Kilburn, Lower Dunsforth

This is a superb opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join a medium size team. This is hands-on role, working both independently and within the site Maintenance Team. Work will involve overhead cranes, welding equipment, AC motors, including Variable speed drives - PLC controls, thermocouples, and process controllers.

Key Duties

As a Maintenance Electrician, your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Respond immediately to breakdowns, carry out fault diagnosis and repairs in a safe and timely manner.
  • Complete a daily written report on work carried out, spares stock levels, PPMs etc.
  • Monitor spares, identify when stock levels are low.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks and HSE checks

Requirements of a Maintenance Electrician 

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • Demonstrate sound general knowledge of and comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and other legislation.
  • Have completed an Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 in Electrical / Maintenance Engineering. 
  • Have at least 3 years previous experience as a Maintenance technician within an industrial environment.
  • Be proficient in using their own initiative to identify electrical faults and carry out repairs on complex electrical systems.
  • Be proficient in reading electrical drawings and documents.
  • Be proficient in panel building and wiring including control circuits and motor starters.

Reporting to the Shipping Manager, the Import / Export Co-ordinator will assist in the tracking and documentation support for consignments within the Export department to the EU and the ROW. Required to keep track of orders as they go through the logistics process (from warehouse through to delivery) and help ensure that they are on track to customer commitment dates.

Import / Export Co-ordinator Candidate Requirements

  • Strong planning, organisational and administrative skills - able to prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent PC skills - accurate data entry / keyboarding is essential, and a good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • High level of attention to detail - able to maintain accuracy.
  • Awareness of the need to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills - written and verbal.
  • Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team.

Import / Export Co-ordinator Key Responsibilities 

  • Obtain transport quotations and options to meet client or event delivery schedule – courier, road, air and sea freight.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders and couriers to schedule and monitor shipments for all export / import consignments.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, EUR1, carnets etc.
  • A good knowledge of letters of credit.
  • Track and report shipment status, providing timely updates to relevant departments to ensure smooth delivery and ensuring shipments arrive on time.
  • Calculate load plans for container shipments and for full trailer shipments.
  • Good knowledge of import procedures, both Home Use and IPR.
  • Handle inquiries and concerns related to shipping and provide solutions promptly.
  • To stay updated on changes in import / export regulations.
  • Be aware of and follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures including feeding back any H&S information to management also be aware of and demonstrate the company values and behaviours.

EHS Lead Candidate Requirements

  • Qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, such as NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within manufacturing / engineering is essential.
  • Understanding of ISO 14001, along with an understanding of the application of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and other legislation relevant to the company’s business.
  • Ability to effectively influence those at a senior level.
  • Professional approach to dealing with issues and employees.
  • Appreciation of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Approximately 10-15% travel activity mainly based in the UK.

EHS Lead Key Responsibilities 

  • Create, review and manage EH&S policies, procedures, risk assessments and monitoring systems and manage associated actions.
  • Audit compliance with company EH&S policies, SSoWs, legislation and guidance and report areas of non-compliance.
  • Monitor health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace and inform Supervision immediately of any situations that require immediate rectification or stopping of operation.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders (e.g. customers, insurers, HSE, EA, LA) on EH&S matters.
  • Carry out workplace monitoring (e.g. noise, dust, vibration) as necessary and maintain records.
  • Investigate all serious accidents, collect performance data and report quarterly to the various H&S committee meetings.
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation and guidance and implement changes where relevant (e.g. to policies or procedures).
  • Provide advice on the environment, health and safety to employees at all levels of the business.
  • Work with and train employees to manage, monitor and improve the environmental, health and safety standards in the workplace - advise employees on how to minimise or ultimately avoid risks and hazards in the workplace.
