We are currently recruiting for an international organisation based in Manchester area who are looking to appoint a Machine shop Team Leader to join their already established team. The right individual will be responsible for a team of CNC Millers & Setters. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation that continues to Grow and Invest. 

This role is commutable from the following locations: Stretford / Sale / Stockport / Salford 

The Machine Shop Team leader will be required to work Sunday to Thursday (Nights) – 10pm till 6am

We are looking for an Ambitious forward-thinking individual who holds desire to make continuous changes to carry the business forward. 

Duties: 

  • Manage the Teams Attendance and Development 
  • Ensure Health and Safety in Maintained within the Team. 
  • Ensure the team members have an even workload on a daily basis. 
  • Assist with problem solving and any issues that arise on site.
  • Attend weekly production meetings. 
  • Report back to the Production leader. 
  • Identify and develop manufacturing improvements and Procedures.

Requirements: 

  • Previous experience within a Senior / Team-Leaders role. 
  • Experience with 3,4 & 5 AXIS vertical machining. 
  • Knowledge of operating CMM Machines
  • Practical experience of manufacturing techniques 
  • Previous experience in Operating a CNC / CMM Machines (FANUC & MAZAK) 
  • Checking of drawing where required when using CMM Machines 
  • Time Served Engineer
  • Holding a formal qualification in Engineering 
  • Previous Team-leader / Supervisory is Key to the role.

  • The Senior Electronics Engineer will hold a degree or similar qualification in Electronics Engineering or a comparable subject.
  • Proven experience in embedded firmware design, development, and testing would be a huge advantage, along with, firmware unit, integration, and system testing.
  • Solid experience in electronics hardware design, development, and testing; including PCB schematic design and layout.
  • The Senior Electronics Engineer will have EMC design and test experience.
  • New product development, and design validation process – FMEA, DFM. 
  • Creation of supporting design documentation, development reports, BoM, build packs.
  • Experience of electronics design within a highly regulated industry, with experience of working with third party approval/certification bodies.
