Duties and requirements Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for: 

  • Previous experience within a Heavy Manufacturing Environment 
  • Proven experience within a Similar Role, Conducting both Electrical and mechanical repairs.  
  • Strong fault-finding abilities on PLC’s – ideally Siemens.
  • Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Gearboxes, Conveyor systems, Granulators, Lifting equipment.  
  • Additional requirements: Conveyor Systems, Lifting equipment, Motors and Drives, Control systems. Single and 3 Phase systems, Inverters, SCADA Systems. 
  • Holding High standards of fault-finding abilities 
  • Carry out essential maintenance on all aspects of the production lines.
  • Work through a programme of PPM and helping develop the agility maintenance system.
  • Improve factory OEE through development and innovation of the production facility.
  • Order and Collect Spare electrical / Mechanical materials.
  • Maintain and monitor the machines and Equipment. 
  • Ensure that all plant and machinery s kept in good working condition. 

Qualification the Maintenance Engineer will hold: 

  • Electrical Apprenticeship
  • BTEC ONC & BTEC HNC Electrical Engineering / Mechanical engineering

  • IT literate; including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook,), Gradus CMMS system.

  • Extensive Electrical knowledge 17th Edition – progressing to 18th.
  • Full valid UK Driving Licence
  • Flexible – as you may be required to travel to alternative sites on occasions.
