Tooling Engineer Responsibilities:
Service and maintain injection moulding tools and ensure smooth running of production plans.
Attend tool breakdowns and diagnose/ resolve tooling issues.
Regular checks of power tools and equipment used.
Liaise closely with the Tooling Leader on tooling issues regarding production downtime, low stock levels, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive repairs.
Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Tooling Engineer Requirements:
Mechanical/fitting training
Knowledge of Sequential gate hot runner systems.
Knowledge of hydraulic/ pneumatic cylinders in relation to hot runner systems and tooling cores.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work alone or with a team dependent on jobs.
Experience of using lathes, milling machines and surface grinder tables.
Basic understanding of electrics associated with tool heating and controls.
