Duties of an Maintenance Technician 

As a proven Maintenance Technician you will be required to undertake both planned and reactive maintenance across our plant, that will see you supporting a wide range of production plant and equipment. 

Requirements of an Maintenance Technician

Ideally you will be apprentice trained but must be qualified Mechanically to a City & Guilds or NVQ standard and have some understanding electrically, linked to ideally holding both welding and fabrication skills, allied to have previous experience of supporting plant and equipment within a fast paced manufacturing or production environment.

The role is commutable from Coleshill, Kingsbury, Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield & Tamworth

 

Maintenance Engineer - Night Shift

I am looking to recruit a full time and permanent Maintenance Engineer to join an experienced and dedicated Engineering Team in Corby on a permanent night shift, working Sunday to Thursday, 22.00-06.00. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join the Maintenance department within a well-established factory. As well as being focused on continuous improvement and implementing specific products, you will also be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the buildings and grounds areas of the Corby plant facility.

There will be opportunities to work overtime at weekends.

The package details for the role of Night Shift Maintenance Engineer include:

  • £50,048 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance) 
  • 40 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, 22.00-06.00
  • Pension is 3% paid via salary sacrifice, saving you tax and NI contributions.
  • Annual Salary Reviews – an annual pay review is conducted every January.
  • Holiday – 20 days plus bank holidays, rising to 25 plus bank holidays after 5 years’ service.

As a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer your role will involve Maintenance of plant and equipment, Identifying, diagnosing, and fixing faults and breakdowns. Carrying out of planned Preventative Maintenance.

Desirable skills involve:  

  • NVQ level 3 or higher in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent. 
  • Core Level GCSE’s or Equivalent.
  • Experience/further education in engineering.
  • Knowledge of the FMCG food industry (desirable)
  • Knowledge of up-to-date maintenance techniques and policies (desirable)
