As a Process Engineer the purpose of the role is:
- Deliver NPI projects on-time, to specification and budget.
- Continuous reporting to client and internally.
- Assisting in implementing solutions to technical issues.
- Conduct tool design reviews with toolmakers.
- Manage budgets and purchase from vendors.
- Hand over all documents, tools and SOPs to the appropriate teams.
Key skills required for the Project Engineer:
- Degree / HNC or equivalent in an engineering or science discipline (will consider long term experience)
- Deliver the project to schedule and budget independently.
- Experience with press tooling in design or manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of contracts and commercial awareness.
- Able to decipher technical drawings efficiently.
- Use of Microsoft project software.
Skills/Experience for a Project Engineer:
- Understanding of our manufacturing process – press / stamping, laser cutting, press brake, MIG welding, projection welding, machining and mechanical assembly.
- Know how to work with automation equipment.
- CAD and SolidWords experience preferred.
- Able to use basic measuring equipment’s (calipers, micrometer, height gauge)
- Understanding of ISO 9000 and IATF 16949
