Production Planner Salary, Hours & Benefits:
£32,000 - £34,000
Monday – Thursday, 7:45am to 4:45pm, 2:15pm finish on Fridays
Experience of production planning processes, ideally gained in a steel fabrication setting or working within a manufacturing environment.
The ability to accurately update and maintain management information systems, ideally experience of using StruMIS preferred (but is not essential).
Confident in using Excel spreadsheets with the ability to learn and use new IT systems.
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise and schedule workloads.
Read and understand Engineer’s Technical drawings.
The Production Planner will have an understanding of supply chains and associated lead times.
Key Responsibilities
The Production Planner will control the workflow through the shopfloor, by co-ordinating the material to support production.
Responsible for managing all material planning through client’s system, issuing, and releasing jobs for both machining prep and manufacturing.
Lead initiatives to create and effectively utilise planning strategies to drive the production scheduling requirements.
Other responsibilities will include coordinating weekly production schedule meeting with Divisional Heads, Project Managers and purchasing to discuss production requirements and prep capacity.
Prepare, maintain, monitor and measuring production and prep capacity against KPIs to ensure timely feedback on any issues to make sure production output goals and customer deadlines are met.

Project Manager Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager will support the Estimating dept. to extract and price materials when required.
Decide best process route for the items to be fabricated, put times to processes using practical knowledge.
Generate quotation documents and send to clients.
The Project Manager will liaise with customers, negotiate and complete tenders to sales. As well as Establish supply chain costs to be included in tenders.
Ensure the Company CRM system is accurately maintained.
Provide a timely response and an exceptional level of service to all enquiries.
Convert won tenders to live orders within the company business system.
Process planning of routings, generation of weld maps and bills of material.
Manage supply chain for all bought-out components and manage the drawing package and works information to allow efficient production.
Liaise with Production on all manufacturing issues.
Generation and issue of quality documents to clients.
Full financial control and appraisal of each project.
Build relationships with clients and recognise new business opportunities.
