DUTIES OF QUALITY ENGINEER

  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance to QS 9000 / TS16949
  • Problem-solving and corrective actions for customer complaints
  • FMEA’s in conjunction with APQP activities
  • Develop and maintain SPC
  • Customer and Supplier visits
  • Manage process audits
  • Containment issues
  • Support NPI related activities

REQUIREMENTS OF QUALITY ENGINEER

  • It is essential you have Quality Engineering experience from within an manufacturing environment
  • Strong use of Quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, APQP and Control Plans
  • Suppler and Customer liaison experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A results’ orientated approach
  • Energetic and results orientated

Role Overview

The Project Manager will have experience of managing multiple complex steel structures / structural steelwork projects to completion. You will lead projects through every stage of the project life cycle, from planning to delivery. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have the ability to maintain focus under pressure, you may be exactly what the business is looking for.

As a Project Manager, you’ll be a key member of the team, responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong rapport with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and time management skills, along with strong attention to detail.

This is a role that will be 90% office based. A pool vehicle will be supplied for any customer meetings or surveys.

Salary and Hours

  • Salary £40,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience
  • 8:00am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday

Candidate Requirements

  • The Project Manager will have proven experience within steel structures / structural steelwork
  • A project management degree or similar would be ideal, but is not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable expertise in project management through all phases of a project life cycle
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and programs including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Expertise with project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Primavera)
  • Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, with strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

  • The Project Manager will be involved in project planning sessions to set project goals and objectives, determine timelines, define tasks, and outline resources necessary to successfully complete the project
  • Select and manage a team from among internal and external sub-contractors 
  • Monitor the progress of projects, including addressing issues that may arise and ensuring project deliverables are completed on time
  • Use an appropriate tracking tool to coordinate different elements of the project
  • Follow standard processes as defined by the Association for Project Management (APM) or Project 
  • Management Institute (PMI)
  • Organize regular status and review meetings as necessary, including generating and distributing meeting minutes
  • Gather resources, identify potential constraints based on activities and timeframes, and define solutions to manage any constraints
  • Design a risk management plan to minimize foreseeable disruptions to the project

Duties of a Calibration Engineer

  • Cover all aspects equipment calibration used within a high-tech industrial environment
  • Ensure calibration of all Torque Tightening Tooling
  • Planning and preparing and performing capability studies for tightening and Force Measurement systems
  • This will include static facilities and delivery and collection of equipment
  • All work to support internal and external audits
  • Commissioning of new tooling and product lines
  • Priorities your work schedule according to production requirements
  • Support breakdowns and production related stoppages

Requirements for a Calibration Engineer

  • AN Engineering qualification, ideally within Electrical Instrumentation and Control systems, or equivalent
  • Previous experience of tightening systems
  • PLC knowledge would be great, but not essential
  • IT and technically literate in Electrical and Mechanical systems
  • Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to engine functionality, again, not essential but helpful
