CNC Grinder Pay and Hours

  • Salary, including shift allowance: £27,000 - £36,000 (dependant on experience and capability)
  • 37 hours per week, double day shift working pattern.

Early Shift – 6:00am - 2:00pm Mon-Thurs and 6:00am – 12:00pm on Friday
Late Shift – 2:00pm – 00:00am Mon-Wed and 2:00pm – 10:20pm on Thursday (there is no shift on a Friday when working lates, so you only do a four-day week)

CNC Grinder Role Overview

  • Due to growth, the business has a position available for an experienced CNC Grinder.
  • Cylindrical grinding is preferred, but all Grinding experience will be considered, and the salary offered will depend on your level of experience and what type of Grinding you have done.

CNC Grinder Candidate Requirements

  • Candidates will have proven experience of CNC grinding techniques.
  • Cylindrical Grinding experience would be highly advantageous. 
  • Working to very tight tolerances.
  • Able to do both the Setting and Operating.
  • Happy to work a double day shift, Monday – Friday (no Friday working on the lates week).

Required Skills for a CNC Turning Setter Operator:

  • Experience using CNC machines with Fanuc controls.
  • Proficient in using various inspection equipment, including micrometers, verniers, and plug gauges.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing techniques and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications efficiently and accurately.
  • Capable of meeting internal and external customer requirements.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar position.
  • Aerospace experience is desirable.
