Role Function 

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will play a key part in improving and maintaining the company manufacturing processes, making them safer, more efficient, and consistent. Whether it’s rolling out new systems, supporting product launches, or driving continuous improvement, you’ll be the go-to person for process excellence.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Continuous Improvement Engineer role or similar
  • Experience within a pressing, sheet metal or fabrication environment would be advantageous
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Can-do attitude, flexibility and adaptability
  • Solid understanding of Lean tools and ISO 9001 quality standards
  • Confident using CAD and reading technical drawings
  • IT proficiency
  • Strong planning, problem solving and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, organised, driven and capable of managing multiple projects

Responsibilities

  • The Continuous Improvement Engineer will maintain and improve safe, efficient production processes

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing quality processes, leading a team of professionals, and driving improvements in product quality and efficiency. This role requires a strong leader with experience in quality assurance, problem-solving methodologies, and effective communication across teams and with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and guide employees within the SQA and Production Quality teams, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Quality Standards Development: Define and implement local Business Unit (BU) quality standards, including work instructions, limit sample lists, and inspection plans, in coordination with BU Production Quality.:
  • Conduct weekly quality improvement meetings to review product quality metrics, scrap rates, and error analyses.
  • Drive the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and corrective action implementation to reduce scrap and improve quality outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate the 8D problem-solving process for quality complaints.
  • Generate and present 8D reports, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.
  • Attend daily Production Quality meetings and monthly Team Leader meetings with senior management to report KPIs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Significant Senior Quality Engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Quality standards and methodologies (8D, FMEA, Control Plans and PPAP’s) 
  • Familiarity with metrology and techniques
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Experience with Supplier visits
  • Excellent analysis, attention to detail 
  • To have the ability to coordinate 
  • All manufacturing backgrounds are considered 
  • Customer facing with superb communication skills

Duties of an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor – Plant Projects:

Working days, as an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor you will be required to manage a small team, whilst also ensuring planned maintenance is undertaken to schedule, allied to being responsible for reactive maintenance issues. 

A key part of your role is undertaking plant related project work, where you will have full lifecycle responsibility from initial concept through to final commissioning. 

Requirements of an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor – Plant Projects:

You must have gained your experience within a heavy engineering, manufacturing or process oriented environment, be apprentice trained and qualified ideally to an HND standard Electrically.

It is also crucial to the role that you have a proven background in leading a team of maintenance professionals and undertaking plant related projects.
