This is an exceptional opportunity for a Metrology Engineer, to be part of a friendly team within Quality.

Metrology Engineer Responsibilities

  • Performing precise measurements and aligning intricate components according to customer specifications
  • Ensuring adherence to high-quality standards 
  • Interpreting customer drawings and defining measurement report formats.
  • Programming automated CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programs.
  • Understanding of SPC and R&R
  • Collaborating with the Project team to fulfil measurement requirements for PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) approval.
  • Conducting dimensional investigations to support engineering teams. 
  • Implementing 5S principles 
  • Carry our Hardness tests (Vickers hardness testers)
  • An understanding of GD7T

Metrology Engineer Requirements

  • To have the ability to program CMM machines.
  • Ideally Axel or PC-DIMIS, or Metrolog or Camio
  • Proven experience of using GD&T
  • To have the ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Experience of using Vickers hardness tester

CNC Turner Setter Operator Benefits:

As a CNC Turner Setter Operator you must have previous experience within a similar role and will be fully competent and able to work on their own with minimal supervision.

CNC Turner Setter Operator, Key Roles, Responsibilities & Experiences include: 

  • Set and operate CNC lathe machinery.
  • Programming capabilities, desirable. 
  • Star Sliding Head Lathes, Haas, Fanuc Controls.
  • Read, understand, and interpret engineered drawings.
  • Adjust / replace tooling and associated machine offsets as required.
  • Machine monitoring and maintenance.
  • Performing quality checks.
  • Engineering shop floor inspection equipment.

  • Setting large Transfer and progression presses
  • Training and mentoring others
  • Safety checks on equipment
  • Quality checks
  • Driving SMED activity
  • Running / loading material and tools
  • Escalation of issues
  • Involvement in tooling trials
  • Completing complex tool changes
  • Deputising for Team Leader

REQUIREMENTS OF PRESS SETTER

  • It is essential that you have relevant Press Setting experience. 
  • For Senior level / Team Leader, - Supervisory experience 
  • To have worked in a continuous improvement environment
