Duties of a Maintenance Supervisor  

As a Maintenance Supervisor you will be required to lead the maintenance team ensuring that PM’s are undertaken to schedule whilst also managing breakdown situations, which will require you to have experience of supporting plant and equipment within either a manufacturing, process or production environment. 

Requirements of a Maintenance Supervisor 

You must have gained your experience from working within a manufacturing or production environment with experience of either supervising or managing a maintenance team.

Shift in place: Working Rotating – Days & Afternoons – 2 weeks working days – then 2 weeks working afternoons: Early finishes on Friday (NO Weekend)

My client is looking for a Tooling Engineer who will report to the Tooling Leader to join their Monday-Friday day shifts.

Tooling Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain injection moulding tools and ensure smooth running of production plans.
  • Attend tool breakdowns and diagnose/ resolve tooling issues.

  • Liaise closely with the Tooling Leader on tooling issues regarding production downtime, low stock levels, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive repairs.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

Tooling Engineer Requirements:

  • Mechanical/fitting training
  • Knowledge of Sequential gate hot runner systems.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic/ pneumatic cylinders in relation to hot runner systems and tooling cores.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work alone or with a team dependent on jobs.
  • Experience of using lathes, milling machines and surface grinder tables.
  • Basic understanding of electrics associated with tool heating and controls.

We are seeking to recruit a proven Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Shift Engineer) to join a busy manufacturing plant within the Maintenance and Production team to support the operation.

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be you will be used to continually perform at a high-performance level and commitment to achieve the desired results and implementing continuous improvement ideas. You will be expected to respond to call-outs due to the 24/7 nature of the business 1 week of the month, as well as work some weekends as overtime all paid extra.

Some duties may include:

  • To maintain a proactive approach to safety, quality and hygiene to ensure standards are maintained and improved.
  • To maximise the uptime of production machinery and to assist in meeting the agreed production plan for the shift. 
  • To manage day-to-day routines, assisting operators in maximizing uptime of production machinery. Ensure the development of operators to carry out routine electrical tasks as detailed in the Operator Skills module, thereby contributing to the overall success of the plant as a Maintenance Electrician.
  • To liaise with the Engineering Co-Ordinator and other Engineers to ensure that breakdown and planned maintenance is carried out as agreed and downtime is minimised.
  • To carry out job and shift handovers as required, ensuring relevant information is passed on.
  • To provide 24-hour, 7 days cover as required to support the site operation.
