  • As a Maintenance Supervisor you will be required to lead the maintenance team ensuring that PM’s are undertaken to schedule whilst also managing breakdown situations, allied to supporting in the development of Maintenance Apprentices.
  • The role will require you to have experience of supporting plant and equipment within either a manufacturing, process or production environment.

  • You must have gained your experience from working within a manufacturing or production environment with experience of either supervising or managing a maintenance team.
  • Allied to your experience you must be qualified to a minimum of City & Guilds / NVQ 3 Mechanically.

Duties of a Facilities Project Manager 

  • Working alongside the Maintenance Manager, you will be required to plan and manage key projects for the business, this could be as simple as machine guard modifications through to multi million pound plant extensions.

Requirements of a Facilities Project Manager

  • You must have a background in project managing civils and plant based projects within either a manufacturing or production environment. Have direct experience of managing contractors, checking RAMS, issuing permits and have a comprehensive understanding of CDM regulations, alongside ideally having a good understanding of CAD.

We are seeking to recruit a proven Maintenance Eechnician with proven skills both mechanically and electrically to join our plant maintenance and reliability team to support our operation within the Wigan Region 

  • You must be qualified Mechanically and hold a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer ability having gained your experience of supporting plant within a heavy engineering environment such as chemical processing, oil refineries, quarrying, recycling, power generation, steel works or within a heavy plant overhaul support organisation. 
  • Holding experience with Heavy conveyor systems, Separators, Granulators and blenders, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Gearboxes. 
  • Ideally you will be Apprentice trained holding a formal qualification with Engineering. 
  • Proven experience within a similar role

As an Electrical Maintenance Team Leader, you will actively assist in managing the ongoing engineering maintenance activities in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, Engineering Planner, Mechanical Team Leader and Production Teams ensuring that all plant and equipment is compliant with relevant regulatory standards, running to optimum efficiency and quality is being maintained.

As the Electrical Maintenance Team Leader, you will have desirable working hours of 07:00am – 17.00pm Mon- Fri.

  • To be apprentice trained, with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline.  Successful candidates will be asked to provide copies of their relevant qualifications / carry out competence assessments.
  • Time served with experience of working in a manufacturing environment ideally heavy manufacturing, FMCG, Chemical or Food industries.
  • Previous leadership experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role or similar
  • Strong controls and automation experience with PLC’s including maintenance, programming, and diagnostics.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills
