Ideally the Maintenance Administrator will have the following: 

We are looking for an Ambitious forward-thinking individual who holds desire to make continuous changes to carry the business forward. 

Requirements: 

  • Previous Experience within a Manufacturing Environment is essential  
  • Proven Experience within a Maintenance Administrator or Planners role. 
  • Experienced within Maintenance – Mechanical / Electrical – Electronic Engineering 
  • Apprentice trained. 
  • Qualified in Mechanical or electrical engineering. 
  • Must hold experience with SAP Administration. – SAP Maintenance – Procurement. 


Duties: 

  • Develop new Maintenance Management System (GSAP)
  • Plan maintenance activities, reactive repairs and improvements across the
  • two MMFL sites
  • Ensuring routine preventative plant maintenance is carried out as necessary
  • and in a timely manner.
  • Prioritise maintenance requirements to suit business needs.
  • Ensure that team members have an adequate workload daily.
  • Ensure that works raised at daily Midel production meetings are progressed
  • and captured within the MMS.
  • Develop meaning full KPI’s based on maintenance activities

Role Overview

Reporting to the Lead Customer Quality Engineer, the Quality Engineer will design, develop, inspect and improve the quality standards of operational processes and manufacturing outputs supporting all the businesses customers. You will use your knowledge of quality control systems and troubleshooting skills to implement appropriate quality measures, meeting quality specifications and complying with safety regulations.


Candidate Requirements

  • The Quality Engineer will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar quality role within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Internal Auditor – ISO 9001:2015 minimum requirement. Lead auditor would be an advantage. 
  • Membership of Chartered Quality Institute would be advantageous. 
  • HNC/HND or NVQ Level 4 Qualified Mechanical Engineer desirable. 
  • Lean Six Sigma, 8-D problem solving, Kaizen, 5-WHY, Fishbone experience (one or some of these would be useful).  
  • Experienced in using ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce experience would be advantageous. 
  • Metrology and CMM experience preferred but not essential.
  • A positive and flexible approach to working time and travel (occasional travel incl. overseas may be needed).


Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • The Quality Engineer will oversee customer cases to ensure action is taken within the allocated time frame and that issues are resolved through recognised problem-solving techniques to lower the number of customer complaints to within an agreed level. 
  • Be the first point of contact when Quality Assistance is required in dealing with manufacturing, supply chain and customer related issues. 
  • Maintain all quality specification documentation within the quality system, including the creation and maintenance of technical specifications, work instructions, procedures, and other documentation where necessary. 
  • Provide guidance, review, and support on improvements to production and process controls, including handling of nonconformities through ICAR and 8D processes. 
  • Ensure that Root Cause Analysis is being carried out in a timely manner and to provide support to the rest of the team as required. 
  • Conduct internal audits in-line with the requirements of the Internal audit schedule. Support the Quality Manager in audit follow-up through to closure of any minor/major NCRs raised during the audit. 
  • Provide knowledge on advanced techniques to ensure that assurance is designed into products and processes, including Design/Process FMEA, Statistical Process Control, Gauge R&R Studies, and Lean Six Sigma.

Probe Technical Recruitment are recruiting a very exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician for a global manufacturer based near Rutland. We are looking for somebody to manage and assist in development and engineering projects at the site and to provide second line support to the Engineering team. You identify opportunities for improvements and make recommendations to improve machine and process effectiveness.

The business is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector for a major, long-term project. The ideal candidate will have proven Quality Inspector, Quality Engineer, Quality Technician or Quality Control experience. 

You will be responsible for overseeing production processes, to ensure that the quality of the end product meets the required standards. You will collaborate with the Production, Finishing and Despatch departments to conduct inspections before products are despatched to site. You will ensure that any defects or improvements are identified and communicated.


Quality Inspector Salary, Hours, and Benefits

  • £31,000 - £33,000 (dependant on what hours you do)

  • Proven Quality experience.

  • UK Driving license as the site is not easy to get to via public transport.


Quality Inspector Key Responsibilities

  • Engage production teams in quality management processes and drive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Inspection of product at all stages of production in accordance with the Inspection Test Plan.
  • Identification of defects, non-conformance and opportunities for improvement within the production processes. Assistance in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Participate in internal and external accrediting body audits.
