Metrology Engineer Responsibilities
- Performing precise measurements and aligning intricate components according to customer specifications
- Ensuring adherence to high-quality standards
- Interpreting customer drawings and defining measurement report formats.
- Programming automated CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programs.
- Understanding of SPC and R&R
- Collaborating with the Project team to fulfil measurement requirements for PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) approval.
- Conducting dimensional investigations to support engineering teams.
- Implementing 5S principles
- Carry our Hardness tests (Vickers hardness testers)
- An understanding of GD7T
Metrology Engineer Requirements
- To have the ability to program CMM machines.
- Ideally Axel or PC-DIMIS, or Metrolog or Camio
- Proven experience of using GD&T
- To have the ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience of using Vickers hardness tester

- Setting large Transfer and progression presses
- Training and mentoring others
- Safety checks on equipment
- Quality checks
- Driving SMED activity

REQUIREMENTS OF PRESS SETTER
- It is essential that you have relevant Press Setting experience.
