I am seeking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for one of the largest privately owned heavy Engineering & Fabrication businesses. As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will provide technical advice, assistance and carry out a range of interventions to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility as well as completing machine malfunction rectification work and carry out the plant service schedules.

Working Monday to Thursday 6.00am – 3.45pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break with plenty of overtime offered also, the other benefits include:

  • £35,665 salary 
  • Automatically enrolled into a company pension scheme after 3 months.  The scheme is a defined contribution scheme with Aviva based on employee contributions of 5% of gross salary and a contribution of 4% from The Company.

You must be qualified with formal Engineering accreditation (EITB), Academic qualifications (City & Guilds / BTEC), or the equivalent.

Some duties for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer role may involve:

  • Maintaining CNC machine tools 
  • Maintaining PLC controlled machinery (Siemens preferred)
  • Maintaining Pneumatics and hydraulics systems
  • Using planned preventative maintenance systems
  • Maintaining material handling conveyor systems
  • Completing electrical installation work
  • Ability to work consistently and accurately, to deadlines, to meet the demands of a manufacturing.

Duties of a Control Systems Project Engineer

  • Working within a team of likeminded professionals, you will be required to support on-site control technicians, working with them to resolve issues and make improvements to production processes, that heavily rely on automation.  

Requirements of a Control Systems Project Engineer

  • You must hold a Degree in an Electrical, Control Engineering or an IT discipline and have proven control systems experience with Siemens S7 / TIA Portal Plc, WinCC Flex HMI and ideally Robot applications. 
  • Allied to your systems experience you must also have experience of planning control related projects within manufacturing or production environment. Alongside having experience of improving plant reliability by critiquing data that relates to OEE, MTBF & MTTR and implementing changes to improve performance.

The role is commutable from Burntwood, Cannock, Rugeley & Tamworth

  • Ideally, we are looking for an Apprentice trained engineer / holding a formal qualification in engineering. 

Ideally holding their 17th / 18th Wiring regulations 
EITB Certificate would be at an advantage.

Materials Handler Candidate Requirements

  • FLT Licence – Counterbalance & Reach.
  • Working knowledge of PC & Microsoft Packages.
  • Experience in a Stores and Engineering environment.
  • Team player

  • Potential overhead crane work (training will be given)
  • Shunting around site using tractor and trailer

Materials Handler Key Responsibilities

Parts should be stored in a safe and suitable location.
Eensure material flow is maintained to support Production.
Accurate picking of goods for manufacturing, 3rd party suppliers and spares is a necessity in a timely manner, if requested.
Offloading and loading of vehicles both manually and with a F.L.T.
Housekeeping to be carried out daily, within stores and surrounding areas.
Good communication at all levels is required.  i.e. Purchasing, Manufacturing, Warranty, Quality etc.
Work safely to Company’s Health & Safety guidelines, whilst being customer focused.
Support Continuous Improvement activities.
