Ideally the CNC Miller will have the following: 

  • Previous experience within a Similar role 
  • Experience with 4&5 AXIS Vertical Milling Machines  
  • Must hold experience with: FANUC/ Mazak Controls. 
  • Knowledge of operating CMM Machines
  • Run Milling Machine after setting and ensuring that quality is maintained throughout the entire production run. 
  • Practical experience of manufacturing techniques 
  • Previous experience in Operating a CNC / CMM Machines 
  • Checking of drawing where required when using CMM Machines 
  • Ideally, we are looking for this individual to hold previous experience with CNC machinery and CMM. 
  • Time Served Engineer

Duties of CAD/CAM Engineer

  • Using CAD/CAM software to create engineering drawings and programs
  • Set and programme CNC Milling machines (MAZAK and XYZ)
  • Utilising existing tooling and fixtures
  • Prove and set programmes before handing over to production
  • Create greater efficiencies within the library of existing drawings
  • Develop and improve manufacturing methods
  • Create digital information folders to help staff to use during the manufacturing process, including programme detail and  fixture, Tooling detail
  • Setting cycle time detail

Requirements for CAD/CAM Engineer:

  • CADCAM experience 
  • Ability to programme CADCAM machines
  • To have the skills to programme CNC Milling machines
  • To be able to develop and maintain digital documentation systems
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organised
