RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setting up and operating mechanical and/or hydraulic presses like a pro
  • Swapping out tools with the grace and speed of a pit crew
  • Reading technical drawings – no, it’s not a secret language, but it helps if it feels like one
  • Tweaking, adjusting, and fine-tuning until everything’s just right
  • Performing checks and routine maintenance (bonus points if you can do it without losing a single bolt)
  • Working alongside QA to make sure the final product is more "Wow!" than "Whoops!"

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience setting presses 
  • Confidence working with various press types

DUTIES

  • Upholding high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping across all plant, yard, and compound areas.
  • Assisting with stock takes of all raw materials including bulk storage and drums, as directed by the Production Supervisor.
  • Safely offloading delivery tankers and loading collection tankers as required.
  • Monitoring and replenishing gaff bag stock to ensure adequate supply levels are maintained.
  • Ensuring spill kits and grit boxes are stocked and in good working order throughout the site.
  • Checking the heating plan and pre-heating materials in preparation for production runs.
  • Labelling and managing stock of IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers) in the compound.
  • Participating in the solvent recovery programme and correctly labelling recovered materials.
  • Supporting batch filtration processes and following formulation batch sheet specifications accurately.
  • Reporting any deviations from standard procedures promptly and in writing to the Production Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • You will have gained your experience from within manufacturing or chemicals
  • Forklift truck experience
  • Forklift truck licence

  • Good understanding of sampling and product testing

  • Any experience with CMM would be an advantage

Duties of Environmental Officer

  • Develop, implement, and maintain our Environmental management systems to uphold compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, risks, and non-conformities, and proactively develop corrective action plans.

Electro Plater Required

Are you an Electro Plater, looking for a really pleasant working environment to be part of? This is a unique working environment, with lots of new investment going into this facility.
Producing components for a variety of different industry sectors, this lends a huge amount of stability to this business.

Working Days, with always a lunchtime finish on Fridays, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Electro Plater, to join a friendly, supportive team.  You may either experienced with Electroplating, or Nitriding will also be considered.

You will be reporting in the Production Manager and you will be given responsibility for the operation of the Tin Plating Line process. Ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety, with strong attention to detail, this is a super opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct timely product testing at various stages, including in-process, final analysis, and specifications. 
  • Prepare pre-shipment samples and ensure all documentation is accurate. 
  • Perform testing on incoming materials  
  • Maintain and execute test equipment calibration procedures as per schedule. 
  • Issue precise process adjustment instructions to the production team. 
  • Complete inspection and testing procedures as outlined in manufacturing instructions
  • Identify non-conforming materials or process operations and take appropriate actions, including re-processing, concession approval, or safe disposal, while maintaining accurate records. 
  • Authorize changes to product specifications, formulas, and manufacturing instructions when required (in the absence of the Works QC Chemist). 
  • Collaborate with the Senior QC Chemist, QC Lab Manager, and Managing Director on technical matters and concessions. 
  • Respond to non-conformance issues, corrective actions, and preventive measures related to customer complaints and process failures, reporting to the Senior QC Chemist or QC Lab Manager

REQUIREMENTS

  • HNC in Chemistry equivalent Level 4 
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes and testing methodologies. 
  • To have the ability to follow chemical testing techniques
  • Previous Lab experience
  • Calibration knowledge
  • Happy to work Weekend DAYS
