The Quality Systems Engineer role is perfect for a candidate with experience in managing site quality systems such as ISO 9001, along with keeping product approval information up to date.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Junior Supplier Quality Engineer will design, develop, inspect and improve the quality standards of operational processes and manufacturing outputs.  

Junior Supplier Quality Engineer Candidate Requirements

Please note that the experience mentioned below is an ‘ideal’, the right candidate would not need to have knowledge of everything.

  • Experience in a similar quality role within a manufacturing environment would be a significant advantage.
  • HNC/HND or Degree Qualified Mechanical Engineer would be advantageous.
  • Internal Auditor – ISO 9001:2015 minimum requirement.  Lead auditor would be an advantage.
  • Membership of Charted Quality Institute would be advantageous.
  • Any experience of either: Lean Six Sigma, 8D problem solving, Kaizen, 5-Why, Fishbone.
  • Experienced in using ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.  Salesforce experience would be advantageous.
  • Metrology, CMM, experience would be nice but is not essential.

Junior Supplier Quality Engineer Key Responsibilities

The below will vary, as your training progresses. 

  • Assist the Quality Team in audit follow-up through to closure of any minor/major NCRs raise during the audit.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development, quality improvement, and cost savings projects.
  • Interact with other departments including suppliers and customers regarding quality matters.
  • Be a point of contact when Quality Assistance is required in dealing with manufacturing, supply chain and customer related issues.
  • Ensure that Root Cause Analysis is being carried out in a timely manner and to provide support to the rest of the team as required.

  • Responsibility for operating of the Tin Plating Line process
  • Health and Safety compliance
  • Ensure the process produces the highest quality product
  • Analyse of production data and engineering runs
  • Optimise the plating process
  • Quality checks by use of Xray machines, Pero washing
  • Operating and programming furnaces
  • 5S
  • Loading and unloading furnaces
  • Establish process controls
  • Cost and scrap reduction

Requirements for Electro Plater

  • Experience of electroplating in a production environment
  • Previous experience of setting up and sustaining electrochemistry equipment
  • Knowledge of metrology methos
  • Handson knowledge of chemical development and electrochemical processes
  • FLT licence – Counter balance would be beneficial
  • Previous experience of measuring equipment and chemicals
  • IT Literate
  • This would suit someone who enjoys being part of a team, with strong communication skills
  • A positive “can-do” attitude

Materials Handler Key Responsibilities

Parts should be stored in a safe and suitable location.
Eensure material flow is maintained to support Production.
Accurate picking of goods for manufacturing, 3rd party suppliers and spares is a necessity in a timely manner, if requested.
Offloading and loading of vehicles both manually and with a F.L.T.
Housekeeping to be carried out daily, within stores and surrounding areas.
Good communication at all levels is required.  i.e. Purchasing, Manufacturing, Warranty, Quality etc.
Work safely to Company’s Health & Safety guidelines, whilst being customer focused.
Support Continuous Improvement activities.

 

We are currently recruiting for an international organisation based in Manchester in their search for 3 CNC Setter Operators who hold experience with 3 & 4 AXIS. 

This role is commutable from the following locations: Stretford / Sale / Stockport / Salford 

Shift in place for the CNC Setter Operators: Double Days - Morning shift and Afternoon shift.
