As production technician you will be hands-on with the machinery, spotting faults and preventing downtime. You will start on a salary of £33,773 for the first 12 weeks of training, this rise will to £37,500 and then after 6-12 months will rise to £41,200.

Essential Requirements

• Proven Head of Operations / Operations Director experience within Manufacturing.
• Experience of working for a business circa 50 million+ turnover.
• An Engineering background, someone who has risen through a business.
• Very much hands-on, but also strategic.
• A business qualification would be advantageous. 
• Deep understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Commercially astute with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

As they continue to expand, they need someone who can lead and develop their maintenance department while ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities. This role is a mixture of hands on and hands off and will suit someone who has experience with continuous improvement activities. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and reducing downtime across the site. You'll work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure maintenance best practices are followed, while also helping to shape a culture of reliability and performance.

• In depth knowledge of TPM.
