The current Engineering Manager is staying within the site just moving roles. We are looking for someone to effectively manage the Maintenance, Development, and Site service teams to ensure plant / equipment availability, reliability and performance. You will assist with the further development of the team of over twenty engineering colleagues, engaged in the maintenance of machines, automation and ancillary equipment.

• Day’s role Monday - Friday 9am – 5pm but site is 24/7 so some flexibility is required.

The key areas for the Engineering Manager focus:

• Previous experience from a manufacturing background is very desirable.
• Provide a safe and effective reactive maintenance response to unplanned breakdowns.
• Maintain an effective planned maintenance program.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for our manufacturing processes – monitoring production data and root cause failure analysis.
• Manage maintenance and capital expenditure budgets.
• Effectively manage spare part procurement and stockholding levels.
• Identify and justify yearly capex projects - needed to keep the plant running at budgeted levels of performance.
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers and sub-contractors.

The Maintenance Electrician with be joining a well-established Maintenance Team. 

The Maintenance Electrician role is commutable from the following locations: Hyde, Denton, Manchester, Oldham, Middleton. 

The Maintenance Electrician with work the following Shifts: Rotating – 6am–2pm & 2pm–10pm

Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment
• Respond to and diagnose breakdowns quickly and effectively
• Perform electrical fault-finding and repair across a variety of textile machinery
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
• Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance and engineering teams
• Support continuous improvement projects and process efficiency initiatives
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Experience: 

• We are looking for an Apprentice trained Maintenance Electrician 
• Qualified to a Level 3 in electrical engineering 
• Ideally coming from a Manufacturing / Textiles environment. 
• Strong Electrical fault-finding abilities. 
• Experienced with Textiles equipment. 

I'm looking for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer in the Stoke area. We’re working closely to identify an Engineer that is qualified to a minimum level 3 in an engineering discipline. You will be part of a big multi-disciplined maintenance team on a continental shift rota. They will offer you a great package starting at £51,400 + shift cover premiums and OT. They also offer an extensive benefits package including a matched pension of up to 10% and training courses such as mech to elec and PLC training.

• Carry out routine servicing and inspection on all production machinery. 
• Carry out essential testing of equipment and systems. 
• Ideally holding experience with ATEX equipment. 
• Ideally, we are looking for a 70/30 split as there will be some mechanical requirements. 
• We are looking for an Apprentice trained maintenance electrician. 
• Holding a Formal qualification in Electrical engineering – City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 
• 17th / 18th IEE Wiring regulations. 
• City & Guilds 2391 Testing 
• UK Driving licence required / Travel to alternative sites required – all site located in within 5Miles of one another. 
• Must be happy to work the required call out system. Working 1in5 calls – this is split between engineers.

• Holding High standards of fault-finding abilities 
• Carry out essential maintenance on all aspects of the production lines
• Work through a programme of PPM and helping develop the agility maintenance system
• Improve factory OEE through development and innovation of the production facility

Qualification the Maintenance Electrician will hold: 

• Electrical Apprenticeship
• BTEC ONC & BTEC HNC Electrical Engineering.
