RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all Chemical Engineering is compliant
  • HAZOP assessments
  • Design, implement and commission plant modifications, modifications to existing plant
  • Hazard assessments
  • Working closely with the Projects team to help develop the plant design, layout, costings and proposals
  • Provide technical expertise
  • Developing new processes and existing ones
  • Exposure to COMAH regulations would be advantageous as would DSEAR methodology

  • A Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • Ideally, you will have gained Chemical Process Engineering experience from within an engineering or manufacturing setting.

Simulation Engineer (FEA/DEM) Role Overview

Simulation Engineer (FEA/DEM) Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in FEA and DEM, with a strong understanding of underlying principles and methods.
  • Demonstrable experience in the Mining, Bulk Material Handling / Material Handling industries. 
  • Proficiency in simulation software (ANSYS, Abaqus, EDEM, Rocky DEM, or similar tools).
  • Experience in optimizing designs for performance, durability, and efficiency, with a familiarity of CAD software and integration of CAD models into simulation workflows.
  • Solid understanding of material properties, structural mechanics, and dynamics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings to diverse audiences.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.

Technical Draughtsperson Candidate Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Technical Draughtsperson, specifically with proven experience in Mining Machinery Design / Bulk Materials Handling Equipment.
  • Product Design experience, with proficiency in CAD software, such as Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks) & SolidWorks. 
  • Experience working on projects that require adherence to tight tolerances and rigorous standards, with familiarity of manufacturing processes and production requirements.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, tolerances, and materials, with exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with Quality on analysis of waste
  • Ensure all packaged process waste are managed and disposed in accordance with UK legislation
  • Liaise with Research and Development with regards to waste streams being generated
  • Reduction in waste
  • Review offsite waste disposal 
  • Arrange preparation of untreated containers for off-site disposal to minimise haulage 
  • Manage quarterly budgets
  • Manage on-site solvent incineration

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU!

  • A Degree in Chemistry
  • Experience of waste management or chemical waste
  • Knowledge of Duty of Care Regulations
  • Ideally Qualifications to support experience, such as WAMITAB, but this is not essential
