The Role
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible to the Mechanical Engineering Manager. You will join an established mechanical engineering design department, who are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person, who is looking for a permanent role in a busy engineering design environment.
Mechanical Design Engineer Person Specification
- Mechanical Engineering degree or similar
- Mechanical design engineering background
- Strong Background in calculations and FE analysis
- 3D experience – desirable
Key Responsibilities
- Produce engineering drawings for the manufacture of client’s range of bespoke and new products and their derivatives. Liaising with Production and Installation departments to ensure best practices are implemented.
- Compile bills of materials (BOMs) via SAP for existing and newly designed products.
- Produce calculations as required during the preparation of designs and drawings.
- Modify and update drawings, calculations and BOMs to suit revised designs as required.
- Make site surveys and attend site meetings as and when necessary and produce reports as required.
- Issue drawings and maintain records in accordance with the Quality Assurance Scheme.

Design Engineer Role Overview
Our client is looking for an additional Design Engineer to assist in delivering even more life changing products to their customers.

Person Specification
- The Design Engineer will need a strong mechanical bias, ideally coming from an automotive background (but not essential).
- Able to apply your fabrication skills to the bespoke design of various products.
- You must fulfill the demanding requirement of delivering both customer functionality and manufacturing repeatability, whilst providing on-site fitters with a solution which can readily be installed on site, with the minimum of inconvenience.
- The design journey must be documented to a high standard, with the information provided enabling other stakeholders within the business to prepare the engineers’ design for market. As such, the candidate should be proficient in the basic Microsoft packages, and ideally have an aptitude for CAD style drawing packages or similar.
- Optimal customer service is a pre-requisite for client and as such, the candidate should be comfortable in dealing with their customers on a one-to-one basis as the situation may occasionally dictate.
- Underpinning all of the above they are looking for a confident, self-motivated individual who enjoys the challenge of solving problems yet is able to deliver a high standard of work within a challenging timeframe.
- A clean driving license is essential for this role.

Role Overview
This NPI Project Manager role is perfect for a hands-on self-starter who would like to work as part of a driven and supportive team. As NPI Project Manager the role will be primarily focused upon helping to introduce new products using clients in-house new product introduction methodology.

Reporting to the Quality & Compliance Manager, the Quality Technician will take responsibility for all quality issues pertaining to the designated Customer base by providing the working specifications, equipment, and other information necessary to enable the Operational Team Leaders, Operators and Quality Facilitators to efficiently control the manufacturing product quality.
The Quality Technician will relentlessly drive through continuous improvement, in all activities. To carry out GMP audits, internal audits, product testing, complaints management, document control and other relevant tasks to support the upkeep of the business quality management systems.

Quality Technician Key Responsibilities
- To develop new / improved systems, procedures, methods etc. in a continuous drive for departmental improvements.

- Product testing requirements review. To maintain a system for filing and retrieval of customer approved samples.
- Random Warehouse audits to verify quality of finished product/packaging.

Reporting to the Toolroom team Leader, the Moulding Technician will be responsible for the repairing and maintenance of injection mould tools, manufacturing of spare parts for tooling or other equipment, designing and building of prototype tooling. You will also design and manufacture other fabrications to support the injection moulding department and other departments.

Candidate Requirements
- The Moulding Technician will have proven Toolroom experience.
- Minimum 4 - 5 years’ experience.
- Experience and knowledge of injection moulding technology and associated equipment.
Moulding Technician Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture of spare parts for injection mould tools and related processes.
- Strip down, service and repair of injection mould tools, ISBM tools, fixtures and jigs.
- Use of CAD/CAM facility to design parts & programme CNC machinery.
- Make use of all tool room equipment, including CNC, Lathe, milling, cylindrical grinder, surface grinder, spark eroder and welding equipment.
- To have a good understanding of the injection moulding process to support the Setting Team with moulding validation.
- Understand health and safety requirements, comply with health and safety policies and procedures and to always work in a way to ensure the health and safety of you and your colleagues.
