Ideally the CNC Programmer / Production Engineer will hold the following: 

  • Previous experience with Programming on MAZAK & FANUC Controls 
  • Must be fully trained with proven experience 
  • Experience with generating and proving out programs on both CNC Lathes and vertical milling machines. 
  • Ability with Setting / operating / milling and turning – mainly FANUC and Mazatrol Controls. 
  • Able to work to engineering drawings and 3D Models 
  • Proven experience with programming MAZAK integrex multi axis turning centres. 
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies – Kaizen & 5S 
  • Ideally the CNC Programmer will be Apprentice trained holding a HND/HNC in Manufacturing Engineering.

Mechanical Design Engineer Role Overview

The business is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a pre‐existing Engineering project team focussed on the development, documentation and validation of multiple assemblies and subassemblies used within the company’s existing products.

Activities within this role will include providing technical review into existing assemblies made onsite, creation of new assembly drawings as well as planning for and performing any necessary validation testing required for final project approvals.

The role will be primarily focussed on the maintenance and development of existing products and assemblies, however, work may be supplemented by additional NPD work and projects.


Mechanical Design Engineer Candidate Requirements

  • Degree or similar qualification in Mechanical Design Engineering or comparable subject.
  • Experience in 3D CAD software CREO and Windchill (other similar CAD software will also be considered).
  • Ability to accurately read, layout and create 2D Engineering drawings, in particular assembly style drawings.
  • Understanding of geometric tolerances and other similar Engineering principles.
  • Understanding of Bills of Materials.
  • Experience and understanding of ERP software(s) (Microsoft Navision preferred).
  • Hands‐on approach to product testing.


Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and development of mechanisms, components, and assemblies with a focus on existing company products.
  • Generation of mechanical drawings and specifications using 3D CAD packages.
  • Inspection, testing and validation of designs and products.

Manufacturing Design Engineer Candidate Requirements

  • Creo experience would be ideal, but any 3D design proficiency would be considered. 
  • MathCAD experience is desirable. Besides this, any proven experience of calculations would be useful.
  • Demonstrable experience from a Manufacturing or Machining environment. 
  • Knowledge of different materials, manufacturing processes and assembly methods.
  • A problem solver, with previous experience dealing directly with customers, preparing technical specifications and presenting proposals.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at any one time.

  • The Manufacturing Design Engineer will process new enquiries for the design department, ensuring all necessary follow-up action has been adhered to such as enquiry processing, delivery of quotation/design proposal for new contract research & consultancy.
  • Develop close working relationships with clients and ensuring client liaison is continually adhered to.
  • Undertake design and engineering analysis and support activity including FEA (dynamic, non-linear) on design projects within the department and as a dedicated service.
  • Development and detailing of product design and engineering support from concept through to detailed design and manufacturing implementation, support as required across a broad spectrum of manufacturing processes and techniques.
