Probe Technical Recruitment are recruiting a superb opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing medium sized engineering team, maintaining a range of manufacturing plant equipment. The Maintenance Engineers role requires you to work a Monday – Friday alternating AM/PM 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm on machinery that manufactures their beautifully crafted products. The company offers:

Along with a recognised maintenance qualification in either Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance, the ideal Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will have experience of CNC / PLC/ PC controlled machine tool or process control/production equipment. Ability to interpret technical drawings including PLC, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
Requirements/ Duties for the role of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
- When reactive job is allocated ensure that the task is personally owned and followed through to completion or when shift handover required the maintenance supervisor is given all the correct information.
- Personally own any planned preventative tasks issued and liaise with operations to ensure task is completed to a high standard, with minimal operational disruption.
We would be looking to talk to Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Technicians or Maintenance Electrician’s/ Maintenance Engineers, and the role is commutable from Nuneaton, Coventry, Leicester, Hinckley and Rugby.

Piling Design & Estimating Engineer Role Overview / Candidate Requirements
- The Piling Design & Estimating Engineer will hold a relevant engineering degree and MSc or bias towards Geology/Geotechnics preferred.
- This role is pivotal - it provides much diversity, providing support to the design & estimating elements of the piling, foundations and ground improvement techniques, ensuring compliance with the company management system and business strategy.
- The successful candidate will have significant design experience and be competent designing bearing piles, tension piles laterally loaded piles and retaining walls. Design includes both tender and contract design and site redesign as required.
- Having a degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or another relevant subject will be the minimum required, with an MSc and Chartered Engineer status being preferable.
- The individual will assist in the management of incoming piling enquiries, including assessment of opportunities and allocation of tenders/designs and includes estimating, tendering and client interaction / negotiation to the point where orders are secured, and provide ongoing support throughout the life of a project if required.
- The person in this role will also act as a mentor to the junior members of the team and help with their training and development. There will be some work providing support dealing with site issues as and when these arise. This includes contract redesigns, rectification of design issues and liaising with external approving authorities and Engineers if required.
Piling Design & Estimating Engineer Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- The Piling Design & Estimating Engineer will assess suitability of incoming enquiries for tendering.
- Ensure that all estimates are prepared in line with Work Instruction Documents.
- Review the contract documents and determine the most appropriate technical and commercial piling solution.
- Undertake estimating activities, ensuring that estimates are delivered in such a manner that maximises the potential to obtain the order.
- Submit tenders by required tender dates and input / update Salesforce - Chase up submitted tenders.
- Prepare and submit formal design packages for live projects.
- Maintain design responsibility for piling changes that occur post order receipt.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create new product designs from concept through to production
- Conduct design changes to existing products
- Attend NPI meetings
- Working with a wide range of materials, such as plastic injection mould, castings and metals
- This is a multi-dimensional role, with a range of projects on the go, at any one time
- Working closely with customers and suppliers
- Drive cost reduction projects
- BOM and Part creation, drawing revision and Issues control
- Familiar with computer simulation and modelling programs
- If experienced, review Design Engineers work
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant Qualifications to support experience- ideally, to Degree level
- It is essential that you have exposure to 3D & “D CAD, such as Solidworks or CATIA
- Ideally, you will have gained your experience from within a manufacturing environment
- Good knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Knowledge of diecast, moulded, pressed or machined parts would be advantageous
- This would suit a friendly, sociable character
- To have the ability to work on a n umber of projects at any one time
- Keen eye for detail
- To have the ability build relationships
