Production Setter Operator

We are looking to recruit a Production Setter / Operator (Automated Production Lines) on behalf of a leading manufacturer in the industry

The salary and the working pattern for this role as a Production Setter / Operator are as follows:

• Salary - £31,000 – including shift allowance
• Working pattern - 3 weekly rotating shifts of days – 6am to 2pm, afternoons – 2pm to 10pm, and nights – 10pm to 6am
• Days of work - Monday – Friday with occasional overtime available at weekends.

The role for this role as a Production Setter / Operator will be as follow

• To operate automated and semi automated production lines to produce stainless steel components.
• The lines comprise of Power Presses, 6 axis robots, pneumatic handling equipment and blank lubrication systems.
• Previous experience in setting and operating automated lines is highly desirable.

The skills required for this role as a Production Setter / Operator are as follows:

• Competent in the setting and operation of Mechanical & Hydraulic Power Presses. 
• Competent with the operation and minor program modifications to ABB 6 Axis robots.
• Show an analytical approach to reviewing machine faults and rectify to ensure continuous production.
• Inspecting finished components against sample and drawings at defined frequencies.
• Ensure accurate completion of all job activities including all associated administrative duties.
• Ability to navigate HMI units to make necessary alterations during production runs.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and cleaning of production line equipment.
• Responsible for ensuring that all Health & Safety Policies are adhered to.
• Capable of maintaining good housekeeping in the process, particularly own work area.
