ID Requirements

Due to changes in UK employment law we are required to obtain proof of ID off all our contractors prior to them commencing employment. We must therefore ask you to supply one of the following options should we be in a position to offer you a contract position through us..

Option 1

Please provide us with one of the following documents:

  • A passport showing that the holder is a British citizen
  • A passport showing that the holder has a legal right to abode in the UK
  • A national passport or national identity card showing that the holder is a national of a European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland.
  • A passport or other document issued by the Home Office which has an endorsement stating that the holder has a current right of residence in the United Kingdom as the family member of a national from a European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland who is resident in the United Kingdom
  • A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that the holder is exempt from immigration control, can stay indefinitely in the United Kingdom, or has no time limit on their stay
  • A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that the holder can stay in the United Kingdom - and that this endorsement allows the holder to do the type of work you are offering provided it does not require a work permit
  • An Application Registration Card issued by the Home Office to an asylum seeker stating that the holder is permitted to take up employment.

If you are unable to provide us with one of the above then you must provide us with the documents listed in Option 2 or Option 3

Option 2

Please provide us with one of the following documents from both List A and List B

List A

A document must have the permanent National Insurance Number and name of the job applicant. This document could be:

  • P45
  • P60
  • National Insurance Number Card
  • Document from a Government Agency
  • A pay slip from a previous employer
  • The provision of a document from List A is ESSENTIAL to Option 2.

In addition to document from List A, you must supply one of the following documents from List B

List B

  • A full birth certificate issued in the United Kingdom, which includes the name or names of the holder's parents; or
  • A birth certificate issued in the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or Ireland; or
  • A certificate of registration or naturalisation stating that the holder is a British Citizen; or
  • A letter issued by the Home Office to the holder which indicates that the person named in it can stay indefinitely in the United Kingdom, or has no time limit on their stay; or
  • An Immigration Status Document issued by the Home Office to the holder with an endorsement indicating that the person named in it can stay indefinitely in the United Kingdom or has now time limit on their stay; or
  • A letter issued by the Home Office to the holder which indicates that the person name in it can stay in the United Kingdom, and this allows them to do the type of work you are offering; or
  • An Immigration Status Document issued by the Home Office to the holder with an endorsement indicating that the person named in it can stay in the United Kingdom, and this allows them to do the type of work you are offering.

Option 3

Please provide us with one of the following documents from both List A and List B

List A

  • A work permit or other approval to take employment that has been issued by Work Permits UK.

The provision of a document from List A is ESSENTIAL to Option 3.

In addition to a document from List A, we must ensure that the work permit applicant has valid leave to enter or remain in the United Kingdom by checking and copying one of the following documents from List B.

List B

  • A passport or other travel document with a valid endorsement to show that the holder is able to stay in the United Kingdom and can take the work permit employment in question; or
  • A valid document issued by the Home Office to the holder confirming that the person named in it is able to stay in the United Kingdom and can take the work permit employment in question.

Failure to supply us with the above information in time could result in an offer being rejected or a delay in paying any invoices raised for work undertaken.

Role Overview

The business is looking to recruit a Senior Electronics Engineer to support the continuing growth of their design department.  The role will involve providing technical guidance to other members of the Electronics Design team, working alongside other engineering disciplines, designing hardware and embedded software to extend the businesses product range.


Candidate Requirements

  • You will have a depth of experience of full product lifecycle.
  • The Senior Electronics Engineer will hold a degree or similar qualification in Electronics Engineering or a comparable subject.
  • Proven experience in embedded firmware design, development, and testing, along with, firmware unit, integration, and system testing.
  • Solid experience in electronics hardware design, development, and testing; including PCB schematic design and layout.
  • The Senior Electronics Engineer will have EMC design and test experience.
  • New product development, and design validation process – FMEA, DFM.  
  • Creation of supporting design documentation, development reports, BoM, build packs.
  • Experience of electronics design within a highly regulated industry, with experience of working with third party approval/certification bodies.
  • Experience in architecture design and architecture design tools, with a familiarity of machinery safety standards or similar.


Key Responsibilities 

  • The Senior Electronics Engineer will be a lead electronics resource for the business.  
  • Identify areas of improvement and assist implementing new processes.
  • Design and maintenance of hardware and embedded software for use within company products.
  • Assessment and documentation of products against specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate with and assist other departments.
