RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly to meet deadlines
  • Adhere to procedures outlined in the Quality Management System (QMS) and follow decisions made during Management Reviews
  • Support the execution of the combined Internal Audit Schedule
  • Collaborate with the Production team to establish and maintain quality standard.
  • Monitor and analyse quality performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data to identify areas for improvement in processes and systems
  • Document, track, and report on quality-related actions and their outcomes
  • Coordinate and manage corrective actions to address quality issues effectively
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement in quality processes and systems
  • Ensure all company products and services meet or exceed quality standards
  • Respond promptly to corrective and preventive action requirements to resolve issues efficiently

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in roles such as Quality Coordinator, Quality Assurance, or similar, with a solid understanding of chemical processes
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control methodologies and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with product testing and quality control systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, including proficiency in techniques such as 5 Whys, 8D, Ishikawa, and CAPA
  • A collaborative mindset, with a desire to work with team members to enhance processes and improve product quality
  • Exceptional attention to detail, including maintaining high standards of housekeeping
  • Proficient in documentation practices and requirements
  • Sound knowledge of sampling methods and product testing
  • Familiarity with management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and work well in team environments
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metric evaluation
  • Capable of investigating, researching, and managing information efficiently

Key experience for the Quality Inspector:  

  • Previous, proven experience within a Skilled Inspector role, 
  • Experience within Inspection of milling, turning and Welding. 
  • Experienced within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Able to use CMM Operations
  • Strong background in technical understanding 
  • Quality Engineering 
  • We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is used to work within a heavy engineering environment. 
  • Time served – mechanical engineer. 
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience within Quality control 


Key Duties for the Quality Inspector: 

  • First point of call for Patrol inspections 
  • Dealing with all Inspection reports 
  • Being responsible for the final view / Inspection of completed assemblies 
  • Handle weights up to 25kg 
  • Able to use computers for Data purpose 
  • Support the Quality team – support internal audits

This is an opportunity to join a company who have been Established for over 50years who continue to grow and offer Stability and development and training. 

The CNC Machinist /Turners role is commutable from the following locations: Blackburn / Burnley / Preston.

The CNC Machinist / Turner will be required to work the following Shift:  Permanent Nights: Monday to Thursday 22:00pm till 07:30am

Key Requirements for the CNC Turners: 

  • Carry out machining of components
  • Set up tools and load materials on to CNC Machines 
  • Manually handle Weights up to 25kg 
  • Complete quality documents 
  • Use inspection equipment to ensure components are manufactured to drawings. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvements 
  • Read Engineering Drawings 
  • Use computer equipment for date purposes.  

Experience the CNC Turners will hold.

  • Experienced with CNC Controls: Okuma / FANUC / Mazak 
  • Experience with Loading Lathes / Driven Tool lathes / Horizontal Machines / Vertical machines. 
  • Prove experience within a CNC Turners position. 
  • Experienced within a Manufacturing Environment. 
  • Must be able to setup, operator, and make adjustments to the tools and fixtures offsets on CNC Machines 
  • Must be Time served – Holding formal qualification
