Job Description

We are an organisation with an established presence in the West Midlands region who are seeking to recruit a Trainee Controls Engineer to support our Midlands based operation. 

The role is a great opportunity to not only use the controls skills you have now, but with both training and onsite mentioning (from the experienced controls team on site), it will give you a genuine route to becoming a fully-fledged Controls Engineer.

Duties of a Controls Engineer:

  • Working Days, you will be required to support our onsite automated production system that will see you working closely with our Maintenance, Projects and CI teams to resolve issues and make improvements to production processes, that heavily rely on automation.  

Requirements of a Controls Engineer:

  • You must have a proven electrical maintenance background and hold proven Plc & Automation skills to a programming modification level with Siemens S7 or Tia Portal, with a desire to move your career towards Control Engineering. 

Ideally you will be Apprentice trained but must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ 3 in Electrical or Mechatronics. 

This role is commutable from Atherstone, Coleshill, Coventry, Solihull & Sutton Coldfield.
