We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a Project Coordinator.

You may already be a Quality / Warranty Engineer, looking for a fresh challenge, or a Supplier Quality Engineer, who has multi engineering skills, but wants a static role with no travelling involved.

Responsibilities for Project Coordinator

  • Develop project deliverables.
  • ensure project is being delivered on time and in budget
  • root cause analysis
  • working closely with Purchasing 
  • Ensuring suitable identification of suppliers
  • Ensure project budgets are met
  • Timing plan are achieved
  • Working closely with Manufacturing Engineers to establish assembly costs and fixture requirements
  • Ensure stage gates are achieved
  • Drive continuous improvements
  • Report to Commercial Director on NPI Project status
  • Manage NPI purchasing from start to finish
  • Select new suppliers to support production and facilities

Requirements for Project Coordinator

  • Educated to Degree standard ideal, but not essential as equivalent experience will be considered
  • Previous experience of project delivery and strategic procurement
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • You will have gained your experience from within manufacturing
  • To have the ability to read engineering drawings
  • The ability to build strong relationships
  • A positive and adaptable approach

Responsibilities for Project Engineer

  • Implement new projects.
  • Support trials.
  • Feasibility analysis
  • Provide assistance to training off Operatives.
  • Support Lean activities.
  • Root cause analysis
  • Support transfer of projects from development phase to production
  • Corrective actions
  • FMEA updates
  • Close out all technical concerns
  • Identify areas of failure
  • Support the development of VSM.

Requirements for a Project Engineer

  • To have experience of working in a volume manufacturing environment
  • NPI knowledge
  • Ideally Apprentice trained.
  • HNC or equivalent experience
  • Experience of continuous improvements, KAIZEN, SMED, TPM, VA/VE
  • This would suit a more Junior Project Engineer, who is looking to gain more knowledge and experience.
  • Or, an experienced Project Engineer, who is looking for a stable, consistent environment.
  • TO have the ability to read and understand technical drawings.
