DUTIES for MASTER METAL ROLLER

  • Running and fine-tuning plate, section, or rolling machines with absolute precision
  • Diagnosing rolling issues before they become problems — by sound, feel, and instinct
  • Training and mentoring younger operators with your hard-earned know-how
  • Coaxing the very best out of the Metal Rolling Machines
  • Sharing insights on tooling, machine setup, and rolling strategy based on decades of experience
  • Helping refine rolling processes — not with buzzwords, but with results

REQUIREMENTS for MASTER METAL ROLLER

  • Significant  in metal rolling — cold or hot, plate, tube, beam, or section
  • Deep, practical knowledge of materials, tolerances, machine behaviour, and tooling
  • Old-school work ethic: take pride in your work, show up on time, and always finish strong
  • The respect of your peers — because you’ve earned it
  • A calm, patient approach when teaching or leading others

Role and Company Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a bespoke and successful engineering business. A global supplier with several decades of experience, this is one of their most exciting periods, with an increase in demand for their product leading to growth and investment onsite.

The CNC Machinist role is a newly created position, you will be a key part of the current team.


CNC Machinist Salary and Benefits

  • £34,000 - £36,000
  • 37.5 Hours per week, 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday

CNC Machinist Candidate Requirements 

  • Programming experience 
  • The CNC Machinist will ideally have experience of XYZ Lathe and Bed Mills
  • Exposure to ProtoTRAK control experience would be useful, but training could be provided if needed
  • Experience in manual turning, milling & drilling would be an advantage
  • Any experience with CMM would be an advantage
  • Haas operation experience would be a significant advantage

We are currently recruiting for a leading specialist organisation based in the North-West who are now looking to strengthen their already established Workshop team by recruiting an additional CNC Programmer. 

  • Position: CNC Programmer / Production Engineer 
  • Shift: Days only Monday to Friday – Early finish on Friday. 
  • Salary: £36,000 - £40,000

This position is commutable from the following Area’s: Hyde / Ashton-Under-Lyne / Manchester / Altrincham / Stretford / Stockport 

Ideally the CNC Programmer / Production Engineer will hold the following: 

  • Previous experience with Programming on MAZAK & FANUC Controls 
  • Must be fully trained with proven experience 
  • Experience with generating and proving out programs on both CNC Lathes and vertical milling machines. 
  • Ability with Setting / operating / milling and turning – mainly FANUC and Mazatrol Controls. 
  • Able to work to engineering drawings and 3D Models 
  • Proven experience with programming MAZAK integrex multi axis turning centres. 
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies – Kaizen & 5S 
  • Ideally the CNC Programmer will be Apprentice trained holding a HND/HNC in Manufacturing Engineering. 
     
 

Due to significant investments my client is looking for an Engineering Stores Manager to take complete control of the engineering stores area. You will be responsible for the sites new CMMS and collaborate with the new planned maintenance team. 

My client is a British leading manufacturing company based in Shropshire. Great company and culture and growing year on year. 

Stores Manager Role Benefits:

Stores Manager Duties Include:

  • Days based role (07:00-16:00).

  • Develop and enhance CMMS. 
  • Ownership of stores KPI’s. 


Stores Manager Requirements include: 

  • Previous experience in engineering stores. 
  • Continuous improvement experience. 
  • CMMS or MRP experience. 
  • Strong IT and excel skills. 
  • FMCG experience advantageous.
