Key Responsibilities the Maintenance Manager:
To ensure that all activities associated with the Maintenance team are carried out in compliance to legislation and company standards for Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality. Liaise with departments to support the effective running of production.
To ensure the effectiveness of the Maintenance Department and team, contribute to decision-making process to achieve higher standards in associated field of activities. Act as an advocate for improvement and change across all engineering functions at all levels.
To promote a positive environment which engineering is seen by management, employees, neighbours, customers, and other off-site agencies as being fundamental to the company’s day to day operations. Ensure policies, programmes, systems, procedures, and registrations are developed and maintained to meet company and regulatory requirements.
Day to Day Requirements:
Support the effective running of production.
Attend Management meetings as and when required.
Regular review of production schedule with Planning Manager to identify planned maintenance opportunities.
Ensure the Maintenance Management Software is updated and utilised effectively and in the absence of the Engineering Coordinator is resourced efficiently.
Manage calibration, testing schedules and associated record keeping.
Manage all engineering regulatory inspection schedules and associated documentation for compliance to the standards required and associated record keeping.
Regular review of production schedule with Planning Manager to identify planned maintenance opportunities.
Ideally, we are looking for a Multi-Skilled Split. Electrical and Mechanical Knowledge.
Holding a Formal qualification in Engineering – Level 3
Previous experience within a management role.
Previous experience within a Chemical Plant or Heavy engineering.

Maintain and install all electrical machinery

Complete maintenance work orders, use of CMMS systems
Be able to communicate at all levels throughout the business
Electrically Biased – but holding a split on the mechanical Side
Knowledge of variable speed drives
Must be able to read schematic drawings
17/18th IEE Wiring regulations
Proven experience within a similar role
Apprentice trained holding a HNC / HND in Electrical engineering

Holding experience with Heavy conveyor systems, Separators, Granulators and blenders, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Gearboxes.
Ideally you will be Apprentice trained holding a formal qualification with Engineering.
