We are seeking to recruit a proven Maintenance Electrician to join our plant Maintenance and Production team to support our operation within Bishop Stortford area. As a Maintenance Electrician you will be you will be used to continually perform at a high-performance level, demonstrating tenacity, energy and commitment to achieve the desired results and implementing continuous improvement ideas. You will be expected to respond to call-outs due to the 24/7 nature of the business, as well as work some weekends as overtime all paid extra.
Some duties may include:
To maintain a proactive approach to safety, quality and hygiene to ensure standards are maintained and improved.
To maximise the uptime of production machinery and to assist in meeting the agreed production plan for the shift.
To manage day-to-day routines, assisting operators in maximizing uptime of production machinery. Ensure the development of operators to carry out routine electrical tasks as detailed in the Operator Skills module, thereby contributing to the overall success of the plant as a Maintenance Electrician.
To liaise with the Engineering Co-Ordinator and other Engineers to ensure that breakdown and planned maintenance is carried out as agreed and downtime is minimised.
To carry out job and shift handovers as required, ensuring relevant information is passed on.
To provide 24-hour, 7 days cover as required to support the site operation.
You must be qualified Electrically i.e. NVQ / Apprenticeship / City & Guilds and would be beneficial with 17th / 18th Edition
Hold experience as a Maintenance Electrician or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, we would be interested in talking to Maintenance Engineers as well.
You must have a Maintenance ability having gained your experience of supporting plant within a FMCG environment such as Food or Packaging or a similar environment.
Salary including call out comes in at £38,898.93

A busy International manufacturing organisation, are pleased to announce, that they are now looking to recruit an ambitious, career minded Operations Manager, in order to drive the business forward and lead the manufacturing facilities.
They are a precision engineering organisation, producing components predominantly the aerospace sector.
This is a truly exceptional role, that will succession plan to Plant Manager.
Requirements of an Operations Manager:
Develop and implement lean and flexible production systems, based on continuous improvement principles
Establish and set KPI’s
Lead manufacturing operating plans in accordance with company policies
Adhere to operational budgets and coordination of capital plans
Implement strategies to increase efficiencies, spend performance and customer delivery
Improve on-time delivery and productivity and reduce scrap
Motivate and develop the workforce
There is movement between sites, but this would be project based and will enable your continuous development of your own career, to the next level.
This would involve 6 months Welwyn Garden City, then 6 months Bradford and then maybe 6 months in Birmingham – hence why accommodation will be provided
Ultimately, you will be offered your own Plant Manager role in the short to medium term
Your experience will have been gained from within a manufacturing environment
Degree level education would be beneficial, however relevant equivalent experience is readily considered
Plant operational management experience
P&L responsibility, excellent financial knowledge
A natural leader, a willingness to lead and take charge
To be able to demonstrate a knowledge of business and management principles
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control costs
