A maternity cover contract has become available at the Darlington plant of this global engine business. An experienced Purchasing Manager is required this very intense role. Working with 4 other Purchasing Managers you will be responsible high-level purchasing management; looking at continuity of supply, price negotiations and new contract negotiations
Purchasing Manager Responsibilities:
Analyses complex sourcing and purchasing processes in support of the delivery of cost effective and high-quality goods and services.
Identifies qualified suppliers and execute sound selection processes.
Maintains good working supplier relationship and understands how key purchasing principles are used toward assuring supply.
Presents to senior purchasing/sourcing leaders with recommendations of improvement opportunities and courses of action.
Ensures procedures and processes are followed and support is provided regarding price bench marking, vendor management, market & process analysis, and model building.
Full understanding of compliance and is aware to situations that can pose risk to the business.
Using a variety of analytical tools and processes (e.g. Six Sigma) to develop systems, processes.
Shift: Rotating 7:00am to 6:30pm & 7:00pm to 6:30am

We are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician to join the team at our Todhills factory.
Working as part of the maintenance team to ensure that all electrical plant equipment and machinery on site are operating efficiently with the minimum amount of downtime and they are kept in safe and good mechanical working order.
Ensure safe working at all times with a right first time every time by everyone attitude to produce a cost effective, quality product whilst adhering to the Company’s policies and procedures.
Install and or maintain all electrical & electro-mechanical plant or machinery in line with Company requirements.
Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system to ensure that the plant & machinery are in good working order.
Fault find and repair any electrical or electro-mechanical related problems on the plant or equipment.
Program all Siemens & other PLC equipment.
Ensure that all plant and machinery is kept in a good working and clean condition.
Assist with the installation of new plant equipment.
Maintain and monitor the machines and equipment to enable them to achieve their budgeted outputs at the required quality levels.
Complete all relevant paperwork associated with the task you are performing in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with colleagues
Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve your efficiency.
Skills & Experience
ONC/HNC Electrical Engineering
At least 1 years-experience in a similar role
Excellent attention to detail
Good diagnostic capability
Good degree of self-management
Siemens PLC fault finding skills are desirable
Knowledge of Variable speed drives (VSD) is desirable
